Confirmed tomorrow, I'm doing the deal for the Super Bassman. The time is perfect for it. The Gibson, and the V-4B will cover the Super Bassman, and yield a bit of cash back. The Super is worth more to me than the both of those pieces are. I can't use the Ampeg, and the Super. The most important function on the Super is, the Auto Bias System. Like I've said a zillion times before, tube bias is a major pain with out this system. Fender's system shows if there is an issue with any of the 6 Output Tubes. That's a lot better than changing all 6 out.

Sounds good. 8) Hopefully, you won't even have to deal with all of that.

I'm thinking I won't. The Super in my opinion, is a solid well manufactured Fender tube amp. I never had a any issues with one.

That's true, even though you did with the other models.

No stopping the deal now. The Super Bassman deal went fine this morning. 25 Minutes this morning , and the order was placed for the SB. I was home about an hour or so, and checked the SA site. It showed no SB's in stock. My order was in motion. SA usually only stocks one, or two SB's at a time. Now I'm just waiting for a FedEx tracking number. It's going to be drop shipped here to the house.

Sounds good, then. 8) All you have to do is wait, now.

I like it being drop shipped to the house, so it cuts out one extra handling of it just to get it home. It weighs a pound less than the cab does, First thing I do when it goes up top of the cab, plug in the cab to it, so its connected to a load. Then the power cord.

Then crank it to 10, and see how long the dogs will hide under the bed. :P

In this Small room, it wouldn't take much. Like I say, in a small room louder volumes aren't really that gauged that well. A larger area will allow the sound, and volume to disperse a lot better. So then I know, why did I get an arena size 300 watts tube amp, when even a 100 watts tube amp is too much for my playing? I just like the sounds a powerful amp puts out, even at a lower volumes.

It showed up, and works Grand! I let it run on standby for a few minutes, before plugging in the GL Jazz. Everything functions. Fender, and Ampeg again.

It does just fit on top of the SVT-212AV. I feel a lot better with the tubes being monitored, in place of an all of a sudden there's a tube issue.

Have you had any issues with tubes like that? I’ve never owned that kind of amp, so that’s never come up. I suppose the preamp tubes could act up (I have had those in amps like the Orange,) but maybe they are more resilient because of their size and function.

My personal tube amps did ok. The Traynor was the head that got a hard workout. It was a top shelf, hard working SOB. Myself, or my friend I sold it to, never had tube issue. Of course that was in the late 60's, when there were still a lot of tube amps, and a lot of amp tubes around.
For me, I think the Fender tube is my final amp. The same for the SVT-212AV, I think. I almost hope, and pray that Fender doesn't come out with a Bassman 212 NEO.

You never know with Fender. They did finally put out a Rumble 800. Speaking of that, if they put out a Rumble 2 x 12" cab, but not a Neo (which I know you like,) would you even bother to check it out? I suppose the only point to it would be just to have a matching cab to the head, which is nothing more than cosmetic.
