Absolutely. That would fill an arena for sure. I'm glad I don't have the thing in my head anymore, thinking I need a big powerful rig. That in its self took a long time, for me anyway.

I like what I have, in which it can handle big stuff, especially adding on another cab, if necessary, but it's still compact enough to be like a smaller rig. That head is pretty lightweight to where you'd carry it in a bag (which I still need to get, by the way,) and the cab is more or less pretty reasonable to move around. It's certainly not that Sonic rig. Although, I'll bet the Ampeg would sound totally bad arse through it, if that Gallien Krueger did.

I'd say you have it covered with the gear you have. The Ampeg is a sleeping giant, that's for sure. It wouldn't hurt to have some type of carry bag, gym bag, or something to carry the PF-800 in though.

Yeah, I think it has the skills to pay the bills. If not, there's always the Fender version, and they didn't jack the price on it, either. Hopefully, that won't be necessary, though. As for the bag, I did find a gym bag that's big enough to use, and was only $15, or around there. Certainly a lot cheaper than the $50 that Ampeg wants for their carry bag, and it's fully enclosed, unlike their bag. They have the amp corners sticking out of it for some reason. I'm not sure if that's the best design for that.

You can do without a bag that says, There's an Ampeg head in here also.

That's a good point, too. It does advertise what's in it. Of course, it's obvious with the ends poking out, anyway.

I know we were talking about this Ampeg carry bag before. And I still don't get the reasoning about having the corners protruding from it. It's not like it's going to have cords attached to it, and powered up while it's enclosed in the carry bag. Image

That's true. I think if anything, it would mean less protection for the amp, as well.

You never know with Fender. They did finally put out a Rumble 800. Speaking of that, if they put out a Rumble 2 x 12" cab, but not a Neo (which I know you like,) would you even bother to check it out? I suppose the only point to it would be just to have a matching cab to the head, which is nothing more than cosmetic.

I'd check it out, and probably wish I had the funds to acquire it, and a head to power it. But I know that's not going to happen. It would've been nice if they did that a year or two ago. Too late now. I'm not crying, or complaining. My HD75 is a keeper, along with the EB-0 I have now. Image

Hell, I'd be also interested in a Rumble 2 x 12" cab, as well. You could even, if so inclined, and had the ways means and funds, swap out the speakers for those HyDrive ones they sell raw, but I think Fender uses Eminence speakers for the Rumble line, anyway. You know, even Peavey makes a 2 x 12" bass cab, so I'm surprised Fender doesn't have one, considering that's what they had originally for bass. Then again, look how long it took them to come out with the Rumble 800, after the fact Ampeg already did, and whoever else. They've been kind of behind when it comes to bass amps. I guess their main focus is guitar ones, as far as that goes.

Yep, Fender kinda' acts like Marshall on the amps priority. Fender does however do first rate options on their basses as compared to say, GIBSON.

That's true, with having two basses (maybe three with the Mustang) as iconic like the Precision and Jazz, they couldn't really say bass is their red headed stepchild like it seemingly is with Gibson. I suppose with the bass amps, they've always been kind of slow with that. The Showman probably made a better bass amp than the Bassman did back in the day, and that was meant for guitar, I suppose. Although, guitarists really liked the Bassman for guitar, and it was the basis for Marshall, so go figure with that one.

I know, things kinda' flip flopped on those two major Fender amps. And how true it is that the Marshall 100 was based on the Bassman Amp. I know there were many 2X15 Bassman cabs used back then, but there were more 2X12 Bassman cabs. Bassman amps were very popular, as were Silvertones for PA's, until Kustom, Shure, and Marshall turned out their PA systems.

I also thought that was interesting that they had a 2 x 15" cab for the Showman, and a 2 x 12" for the Bassman, although like you said, they eventually had the 2 x 15" for that one, as well. Yeah, they needed to develop the PA stuff to keep up with everything else.

I don't remember Fender coming out with a PA. If they did, it may have gone over ok back then.
