Yeah, that's the one I was looking at.

If I remember correctly, my Rumble 800HD was Mexican. I know the Bassman heads are Mexican. At least my Epi Viola, and Hartke HD75 are made in China, but were in this country before any tariffs were imposed.

Yeah, the Fender tube heads are usually made in Mexico, for the most part. I think maybe that Champ model might not be, though. I don't know if those tariffs effect guitars or not.

I don't have any idea what is, or isn't effected by the tariffs at all. That could be a problem with China Made for sure though.

Yeah, I'd have to look into that. I suppose Ampeg just decided to have a price hike, but that's one hell of one being $100, especially since there is competition for bass amps like that these days. Fender did raise the price of their Rumble Stage 800 combo by $100, maybe a month ago or so, but that thing has all of those Bluetooth related computer stuff in it, and all of those effects, so there is that, if that is effected by tariffs on electronics.

$100. Is a hell of a price hike. Especially on a lower priced item tp start with, as compared to one running about a $1,000. If you get my drift. Not that $100. isn't a hefty hike for any price range, but the lower priced item isn't that much to start with.

That's true. I think that could wind up being a bad move for them, but I suppose time will tell with that one. It might not even last that long. Hartke has done that with a few of their heads in the past, raised and lowered them, although they've gone up again a little bit. They've never jacked them up that high, I don't think, though.

I don't remember Hartke doing what I would consider an absurd price increase either. I think Hartke is more in with reality for decent pricing of their products.

Hartke prices haven't been raised as high, although I think the TX600 went up $70. It's going for $469.99 now, wasn't originally $399.99? Oddly enough, their LH500 head is still $349.99, even though the LH1000 went up $20.

Depending on where the TX600 is made, and it's probably in more demand than the LH Series heads. $70. is a bit of a jump though.

Didn't you have one of those? Weren't they originally $399.99, if you did?

Yes I did, but I thought it was $429. Maybe not?

I don't know. Probably somewhere around there. Oh, speaking of amps, I found a scan of the Sonic cab with the 2 x 18" x 2 x 10" configuration that I played through with a Gallien Krueger 800RB head. I don't know if you ever remember me talking about that, or not. That thing was a beast. It's called a "Superfunk" cab. It's on the bottom right of this page: http://www.sonicspeaker.com/1991_4.html

I didn't remember that one, but that's a beast for sure. I'm glad I'm not moving that one. The GK 800RB head is a good one for that I bet. GK heads are good.

Yeah, I'm actually glad I never did, either. :P That thing was friggin' huge! I'll tell you though, it would flap your trousers. Those GK 800RB amps were something else. I was actually surprised when they discontinued them, since they were a classic amp. I guess they became "obsolete," since they were only 400 watts, and weren't Class D, or whatever. It certainly was loud as hell through that cab, I know that much. I cranked it one time and you could feel the bass hit you in the chest. That's not a wimpy rig! 8)
