Those are some fine drivers there. They almost do look like they could go either way for guitar, or bass.

Yeah, they do look pretty sturdy. 200 or 300 watts isn't nothing to sneeze at for a 12" speaker.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did go both for either type.

I do think it is the speaker Steve Harris from Iron Maiden uses for his bass rig, so I think so, too.

That's pretty awesome. One driver for both uses.

That's pretty much old school there, doing that. Multipurpose amplification, and all of that.

The older Celestions were probably along those lines for guitar or bass. At least for a bit.

I think those Celestion greenbacks that were famous for Marshall cabs were meant to be bass speakers, from what I've read, but I could be wrong, and be thinking of something else from that time.

Come to think of it, I don't remember ever having to mess with Marshalls with them in it.

Well, they're only 25 watts each, so you've probably were used to having using more heavy duty models, you think?

Yeah, I think maybe that might have been the case.

Speaking of amps, I just noticed that Ampeg raised the prices of the PF-800 and SVT-7 Pro by $100. I guess that's the result of all of that Chinese tariff BS that Trump started. I had a feeling that is what's going to happen. I've noticed the price of the Fender Rumble 800 stayed the same, for now at least.

I believe that's because the Rumble 800 is made in Mexico.

Is it? I looked at a pic of one on the back of it, and it doesn't say, other than a product of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation and their California address. I know their other Rumble stuff from the 3rd generation was Indonesia, which doesn't have anything to do with the Tariffs, as far as I know, since I haven't seen that country mentioned, and the 2nd generation, or the one I have was China, but they are obviously no longer made.

If you're looking at a pic from the Fender site, they don't show where it's made.
