A stack of Marshalls is still a sight to behold for me anyway. Just me though.

Yeah, as long as it isn't those MB bass ones, right?

That's a shame about those, considering Marshall's history. I guess every once in a while, something doesn't work out like you hope it does, though.

On the outcome the, MB Series looked, and sounded really great. Things started to go down hill pretty quickly though. Oh well. The Hartke is a working amp.

Yeah, normally, Marshall has had a pretty good record with reliability, but I guess something must have screwed up with the QC with that particular lineup. At least you haven't had any issues with the Hartke stuff, and I suppose that's what matters now, with what you're currently using works like it should.

The Hartke stuff has exceeded my expectations enormously. It works, and plays as I hope a well named brand is capable of performing. Bravo Hartke.
As far as the Marshall MB Series, I do believe it was a partial failure in the QC part of it, but not as much as the design quality for the MB Series as a whole. The cooling motors may have their issues from the circuit designs controlling them, not the company that made the motors themselves.

Yeah, definitely some faulty design with those circuits with the motors. I guess they decided just to pull the whole lineup, instead of replacing or fixing the issue.

That's good with the Hartke, that it does what it's supposed to. Unfortunately, I had an issue with one of their small practice amps, but that doesn't obviously mean it effected their whole lineup. It could have just been a lemon, and I did get it as an open box item from Sam Ash. This was back in 2007, or so. Somewhere around there.

That was a while ago too. One problem these days, where is something made, and by who?

Who knows? Truth be told, there's a lot of places that make things for more than one brand. I'm willing to bet that the Cort factory in Indonesia (they were originally based in South Korea, maybe they still are) makes a lot of the different instruments over there, say like Ibanez, maybe even Squier. It wouldn't surprise me. By the way, I remember finding this website of some amp company in Asia (I think it was in China, but not sure,) and some of their models looked exactly like Hartke amps. It could even be possible they are the ones that make those Hartke amps, you never know, but they have there own badge on them. I'm going to see if I still have the link to that site saved, and look them up again. It's been a long time, so it's hard to say about that. Things change, and also disappear.

My HA2500, and 112b are manufactured in China. I can't kick about the quality, or the price as compared to some comparable units. The 112b cab, is almost overbuilt in the design of the Hartke. i'd love to see Hartke, Fender and other companies make their products here in the US of A, but as we know, not too many can compete with labor costs from most over seas manufacturing locations.

I wish I could remember the company that made those amps, but I don't. I'll have to go through my links, and maybe it might still be there. I need to go through them as it is, to get rid of stuff that might not even be around, or I don't really care about, to clean things up. I've already done it with band websites (I have so much crap saved, I have it divided into different folders) and retail sites. If it's there, or I somehow actually find it elsewhere, I'll look at it and post it, because I do remember their stuff did look like Hartke gear.

I suppose there are amps still being built here, but they are boutique brands, usually that are all tube and of course, cost accordingly. I'm even wondering if the whole made in the USA thing even holds much meaning these days like it did after WW2, when there was pride in manufacturing, and people actually gave a crap. You're lucky if you can get a simple order at a McDonald's without them screwing it up.

I gave up on MD's a long time ago. I went in to get my car washed, and waxed. It really needed it big time. Theres a MD's right next to it, so figured it was a long time since I had a Big Mac. I ate those a lot when I was on the road. Burger King too. The Big Mac was the worst damn POS in two buns. I ate just under half, and threw the rest out. That was a couple of years ago. My last time in a MD's.

Yes, Made In America was something to purchase back when. In the 50's, you could in some, to most cases, see the quality, If it was say Japanese, or American manufactured, just between those two countries alone. How the tables turned in some of the products starting in the 70's.

Of course, the "captains of industry", set the U.S.A. up for a decline. The three major steel manufactures, US Steel, Bethlehem Steel, and Republic Steel did nothing to revamp, and modernize the great Pittsburgh steel mills. At one time, they were THE GREATEST IN THE WORLD! BAR NONE! They pocketed the cash, and payed the stock holders as the mills went into a death spiral of decay, and eventual DEATH. A true travesty, in full view for everyone to witness.

Funny, I had McDonald's tonight, since I wasn't really up for cooking anything. It was good, but I know what you mean. It can be a crapshoot, depending on where and when you go.

I guess what that all boils down to is greed. Who knows what will happen to this country in the next few years. I just hope we don't wind up in some major war, but it's been looking like that with a lot of the crap going on.
