Nothing really. I'll have to check out my options. And they aren't too many.

You never know, sometimes things can just pop up at the right time. I've gotten some serious deals like that, at least as far as amps are concerned.

It's looking like the Markbass will be back tomorrow if things work out ok.

That's great! 8) Good to see you'll get an amp back and running.

If things work out the way I hope they do tomorrow, I get the Markbass first, then get the Epi Viola.

Great news. 8) Is this the same amp you previously had, or a totally different one?

The same 121P. Speaking of which, I did some slight tweaking on the settings, with this Epi. Everything plays and sounds fine. Very good actually. I can say I do prefer the D'Addario ETB92M Nylons on the Epi, over the La Bella 760HNBB Nylons that were on the Hofner. The 121P sounds beautiful. Nice rich smooth sounding tones. And that's just out of one 12". I couldn't afford to acquire the NY121 Cab, but from what I heard today out of just the 1121P Combo, I don't need the external cab anyway. I'm not getting hung up on that needing 4 ohms, 500 Watts again.

Well, 300 watts isn't exactly wimpy, especially in a smaller room. Speaking of your D'Addario nylons and Epiphone, they actually have them on their Masterbilt Deluxe Classic Acoustic Electric Bass, which I think looks like a nice bass. They dropped the price on it, too. It was $999, but now $699. It comes in natural, or sunburst. https://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-EPI-EBD2-LIST

Not a bad looking bass there. The 300 Watts is more than ample for my in home playing. With the slight adjustments I made on the amp yesterday, it really is a very smooth, deep quality sound. I'm liking the Epi over the Hofner for not only sounds, but also playability. It just feels more comfortable to play than the Hofner did, and for a lot less Buckaroos too. One other thing about the Epi over the Hofner, with it's standard bass winding pegs, I can use whatever bass strings on the Epi, as standard bass strings fit into the pegs.

Is the neck a little bigger on it, like the body is, or about the same? I've never even seen a Hofner in person, much less ever touched one, so I've never had any chance to compare that to say my Douglas copy. I did play on a Jay Turser copy several years ago, when there used to be a music shop down the road from my house around here. I used to see it displayed in their window whenever we used to go by there, so I actually was able to stop in one time and check it out. You know, that might have been even 10 years ago, now, maybe more. Sadly, that place has been gone for a few years now, along with at least 4 other shops around here. They were the last holdout, though. The other ones went a few years earlier, right after I moved here, and never really got to check them out.

The thing about that Epiphone, is you can buy at least 3 of them for what the Hofner costs, and if you like it that much, that's not a bad bargain. 8)
