What's up with that?

I picked up a bit of cash to use along with the HD75 towards the 100. I tried a floor 100 the other day with my EB-0, not a store floor EB-0. I liked the sound, and its lighter, and has a bit more power mixed in with the Rumble onboard mix, Vintage, and Overdrive. I'm like you I guess, liking the Fender amp sound too. It also has the direct out the HD75 doesn't have.

Sounds like it has some nice features, then. It has a 12" speaker, as well. 8)

12" Emeninence. I wasn't going to go with a single 10", since having a 12" already. Just me though. I almost thought about doing a 15", but I do like 12's. The Rumble settings are somewhat similar to the Bassman head settings, so why not. No horn, or tweeter in the 100. A little more power, and that's pretty much it. Neither the HD75, or the Rumble 100 can power an external cab. I just kinda' like Fenders anyway. The 100 is just a straight 100 watts, no extra cab required to get that.

Yeah, that would probably give you a little more kick. Having a DI out can always be handy, too. You never know if you might wind up using it for recording or something like that. Eminence are usually decent speakers, as well.

I never had a gripe with Eminence. 100 Watts is a decent pounder through a 12.

Yeah, they've been working quite well for me, as well. 100 watts should shake some walls, especially in a smaller room, and with that 12" speaker.

I don't see why it wouldn't do just that. Fender amps do sound pretty darn good.

The HD75 is going to be replaced out probably sometime next week. My contact at the local SA has one in stock, in the carton on hold for me. So that should be about it for now, until I can make it down to do the swap out.

Yes, I think they do, as well.

Yeah, I like that too. They do have them online, but this way I help him out too. It takes one out of his stock that shows a store sale.

Yeah, I still like to shop local whenever I can, even if it might cost me a little bit extra. Unfortunately, I can't do that with music gear, because there no longer is that option where I live, but other things I can. Oh, speaking of Hartke one last time, it looks like they are trying to up their game, or maybe try and compete more in the bass head department with Fender and Ampeg. Check these out: https://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2019/1 ... mplifiers/

The new Hartke looks like the TC Electronics RH450, and RH750. A good move. That's about right for me using Hartke. Cash flow won't allow the head / cab combination, so the combo is where its at. I'm back into the 100. About five and a half years ago, I had a Rumble 100. The 100 has held its own, so I have no issues about returning to it. It's also right at the brink of my affordability in the Rumble series.

Now that you mention it, that does remind me of the TC Electronics amps. I was thinking it reminded me of the Ampeg or Fender heads, probably because of the price and power ratings. The thing with the Hartke, is it does have a tube preamp on it, which none of the Fender or Ampeg heads have, unless you get into the more expensive models like the Bassman 500/800, or I guess the SVT-7 Pro. That's actually not too shabby to have that for the price, but it doesn't have the option to go to 2 ohms. Maybe they can't do that with a tube preamp? I've noticed no amps that have a tube preamp offer a 2 ohm option, unless it's all tube.

You had a current generation Rumble 100 back then? I remember you said you had the first generation model, with the disco lights.
