I've been talking about and asking for one of these since 2013. A little too late, since I just bought another amp. Oh well, at least they finally have that option. I just wish they'd done it sooner. :( My Rumble 350 combo is still running strong, though. I've had that thing since 2012.

It's like they wait till I buy another product, and then release what I may have purchased from them. It wouldn't work with the SVT-212AV being a 600 watts, 4 ohm cab. The SVT-410HLF would handle it with no problem.

You know, in a way, this happened to me once before, when I bought my Generation 2 Rumble amp, then they came out with the Generation 3 not too long right after it, pretty much making that obsolete, because of the extra features, and lighter weight, for any sort of resale value. Why get one one of those used, when you could get one of those for the same price? Not that I want to sell it, since it is a good amp, sans that issue. I still would have gotten a Generation 3, had I known, exactly for those features it offered, plus I like the vintage look of the silver fabric, over a black metal grate.

I think some times they do that just to piss us off. They sure do a good job of it, too! Don't they?

Yeah, it looks like that, sometimes. :P By the way, they actually have it updated on the product page of the site. At least they're keeping up with that. It used to take them forever to do that. I've also noticed that they've revamped their Squier line with the Classic Vibe series. They have all kinds of basses coming out again. I guess they want me to go back to a Jazz or Precision bass. :P

I always say, A Jazz is tough to beat. For a precision, I feel like I did super fine with the Sea Foam I have. Damn nice MIM bass.

Speaking of these basses, the fretboards on the Squier basses, sans maple boards, are Indian Laurel now. I don't know how that wood does, compared to rosewood, meaning if it shrinks in cold dry weather, and I'd have to do some fret end filing. That's one thing that I have to consider with any new Squier basses. So far, I haven't had to do any work with the frets on the Ibanez, but I think they have better quality control than Fender does, with that, anyhow. At least, with my experience with these. I hate having to screw with that, but at least I know how to do that now.

It's always a good thing to pickup more smarts as you go along. When I was Road Rex, I didn't know everything, and still don't. But what I did know, I passed it on for others to use, or just know it. Hell, it wasn't top secret information, FOR EYES ONLY!!!

That's not a bad thing, actually. It's not like you're in Spec Ops, or something. :P

Black ops was the term for doing an op with extreme prejudice. Nasty as it comes.

All the time. People live, and work in the shadows.
