Hello, new forum member here, been playing Fender guitars, basses, and amps since day 1. I'm the proud owner of a new Rumble 500 bass head that I'm using in a reggae/dub project. So, lots of bass & low end and not much else. Last night was the first time using the amp and the settings I used to get the tone I want were a little alarming. The tone was fantastic! But I'd like to check with some other folks to make sure this is okay to do, or to maybe brainstorm other ways of getting this tone without overworking the amp.

Bass: Fender Precision, tone knob @ zero, volume knob @ 80%
Cabinet: 2x15, 200ish watts at 4 ohm (according to the back panel. I have not tested impedance)
Rumble settings: Gain @ 40%. Master @ 50%. Low EQ @ 100%. All other EQ knobs @ 0%. No OD, no vintage/contour/bright settings engaged.

The bold settings are what I'm concerned about. Is this dangerous for the amp? If so, any thoughts on how I can get this sound without such extreme EQ settings? The sound was fantastic, thunderous lows, very subby & dubby. The cabinet responded fine, no issues there so far, I've been using this cabinet since April with the same kind of lows-only tone using a couple other amplifiers, but didn't need the same kind of extreme EQ settings.

Thanks, Alex

Welcome to the forum, Alex. I don't see anything wrong with your settings, and as long as your speaker cab can handle it, you should be fine. The speakers would potentially be the first thing that could develop an issue with, by pumping that much low end into them, but it shouldn't hurt your amp. You could also look into getting an octave pedal for extra low frequencies, but you'd have to play around with one to see if you like it. It works for some people, and others not so much.
