Greetings from Michigan! I'm working on a Fender Rumble 25. It has a terrible distortion that happens with higher volume and more bass. Thought I could get it fixed quick for the customer by replacing the U6, LM3876 output IC and of course no. Anyway I read this evening about replacing C38 and C21 with 10mfd so I'll try that tomorrow. Anyone have experience on this Rumble 25 that they'd like to share? Thanks!

PS I used an NTE replacement for the LM3876 just because the distributor is close by.

It's for a customer. He uses it for a practice amp and loves it for that purpose. So I told him I'd get it fixed for $80 -$90 US. I'll get it but was trying to save some time by asking via this forum.

LOL! I know. I've been learning this gig for about 8 months. My tendency sometime is to under value my estimates. Gotta relearn that lesson again.
