I changed out the Markbass amp for the Rumble 500 Combo today. The Rumble suits what I need better, than the Markbass.

That's interesting. What made you change your mind about that?

I didn't have any issues with the Markbass, but the support isn't there if something comes up. They really have a lousy support network in the US. A Fender can be worked on in a lot of places. And I do like having a headphones jack onboard. Sometimes it's a pain not having a headphones jack.
The Eminence speakers do sound better than the new style pretend B&C speakers. The B&C speakers that were original equipment in the Italian Markbasses's were really a lot better than what ever these look a like ones do now. Rumbles are wood cabs, and don't have the carpet. In the future, I may add a Rumble 112 cab to sit under the 500 C.

I'll pass on that one.

Well, considering they seem to be a Guitar Center house brand (they are the only ones who carries them, like those new Acoustic amps,) that never would have had my confidence too high, especially dealing with any potential issues.

At least you get 5 years with the Fender, plus you got it from Sam Ash, which usually is more professional to deal with (at least with my experience with them.) Fender usually makes pretty decent amps, anyway. You know, I almost bought one of those 500 combos last year, but my Orange didn't sell, and they raised the price of the Fender, which kind of negated that whole deal. I don't know if you remember that or not. I was trying to make some extra money, but still had a decent, portable amp to work with.

You know, I was actually going to suggest you try out one of those Rumble 12" cabs to go with your combo. I think that would probably sound pretty good, and you like the 12"s, anyhow. Hell, I wouldn't mind one of those 12" cabs. I kind of wish I got one of those instead of the 2 x 10" cab to go with my 18" one.

I'm kicking around getting a Rumble 112 cab when they're back in town. I've had a couple of players who have the same setup, and they have been very complimentary on the 500C, and the extension 112 cab. So I may just do it. I saw what you just posted about possibly going to mention to me trying the 112 cab too. It's not that bad of an idea. A 12 with 2X10's sounds pretty decent actually. Yes I do like 12's also.

I noticed they were out of stock of those 12" cabs over at American Musical Supply, as well. That's the place I've typically ordered my gear from. They have a 5 payment plan of that so you could pay $60 a month for 5 months, while you own the cab. That way you don't have to pay it off all at once and save some money. Of course, you have to have the $60 a month to pay it off.

Those Rumble 112 cabs just aren't available right now.

I guess that has something to do with the distributor, since they seem to be out of stock at several places.

They're out of stock at Fender also.

I'm really not sure I'm going to add the 112 cab. The 500C is pretty good by itself.

It's nice to have an amp I'm not worried about, if something needs to be repaired on it. Go Fender!!!

Yeah, they seem to be pretty dependable. Mine still works, knock on wood. You're having second thoughts on the 12" speaker cab then?

Somewhat. It plays fine for me, I'm not taking it out to play, so I can get along fine with 350 watts just the way it is.
