Hello!
I have been recently offered what has been described to me as a 300 watt 1977 Fender Studio Bass head. I am unable to find any info on it.
Can anyone help?
Thank you

You won't find that , there are no head with this name

I have many book on Fender amps, no head just Studio Bass in combo.
300 watts Bass head from 1975 to 1980 are the 300PS, not Studio Bass. Is it the one ?

Is it a hand made head ? Post pictures.

Made between 1977-1982 Output ; 200 W
2 X 7025, 12AT7,12AU7 12AX7 6X 6L6

There were NO Fender Studio Bass heads made. They were all 200 watt R.M.S. (and that was pushing it) 1x15 combos made from 1977-82 and sold in the $800-$900 range when new. It has been common to remove the amp and put it in an aftermarket head case. That little modification destroys all collector value.

I bought a Fender Studio Bass new in 1979 and played it through 2005 when an unfortunate lifequake forced a sale. I recorded three albums with it and played numerous gigs without a single failure. It is among the very best bass amps ever made by anyone at any time at any price.

You'll find quite a bit of information regarding Fender's Studio Bass Amp on talkbass.com......
