This is my first forum soooo, I'll just jump in with my questions

I've got a Fender Rumble 200, the newer V3 series stuff, and it's been pretty well to us for the last 2 years. But recently we started getting a bit of a farty noise from the speaker from som of the low notes On the E string, the bass is active, and it never used to give us issues before but now its intermittently farty.I've tried everything from turning the active knob all the way down, to scooping the bass and mids, and this helps but it still happens, we usually don't push the volume knob above much more than half way and the gain cranked to roughly a third. I say we because this is actually my good friend and bass players amp. It has been pushed once or twice to I'd say it's limits, but we try to avoid that any time we can. Anyway, I'm wondering maybe we should get a new speaker? We don't have money to buy a new amp, and a new speaker/ upgrade would be much chePer since it's a single 15". The speaker has no visible cracks or tears and has good response when gently pressed on, I'm gonna double check later today, my friend owns a store where they sell these and ask her if I can feel how much resistance there is in a new one. Anyway any info on this would be much appreciated,

also the overdrive takes a couple minutes to warm up, like if you turn the volume and drive up high, you get awful muddy distortion that's missing some frequencies, but you get nothing below Half way on them, but after a few minutes the overdrive works fine? It used to be accessible as soon as you turned on the amp? Any ideas? Thanks so much!

You should have a 5 year warranty on it, no? If you bought it new and only had two years on it, then perhaps Fender itself can deal with it. You should try to contact them and see if they do anything. Do you still have the receipt for it? Not sure, but you may need that, too. Either way, trying contacting them and see what they say. It's possible you can get this dealt with without any to little expense. Their contact info is usually on the bottom right of this site. There's a link there.

Oh man totesdeniable what lousy first post, but welcome to the Fender Forums anyway.

Yes your overdrive is kaput, so send the entire combo back.

Have you ever re-torqued the screws on your woofer? It could have just vibrated loose. Use a criss-cross pattern and snug them down. Do this twice and be careful not to over tighten and strip out your t-nuts. I do this twice a year. More if I am gigging regularly.
