Outstanding. In the 6 years, how many times have you pushed it really hard?

A few times, but I've never really had to crank the thing that high, since I wasn't having to compete with some Marshall stack, or something like that. I have the Orange stack, so I'd never have to worry about that, anyway. Still, I think the Fender could hold it's own, for the fact I didn't have to crank it hard, and I jammed with my girlfriend playing on drums, and she hits them pretty hard.

That sounds really good. You probably have a lot more playing time on it, with no issues.

On SS's, issues usually show up pretty early in usage. I was glad the previous Bassman 500 I had did the early issue.

That is the 3rd generation, that came out around 2013 or so. My Rumble 350 combo is from the 2nd generation, which I got in January 2012. They had a Rumble 150, which was the model your's replaced, with the difference being your's has a plywood enclosure (which cuts the weight in half,) and the previous is MDF, you have the ability to run an extra 8 ohm cab, which the previous one was 4 ohms self contained, although you also have to run that extra cab for the full 200 watts (140, I believe 8 ohms internally,) and the previous was roughly around 200 watts on it's own. They called it 150 watts, but it was conservatively rated. They said mine is 350 watts, but it tested out around 402 watts, according to the schematics. There was manuals for all of the Rumble series amps on the site, but they changed things around, so you have to search a bit to find things. They might be still online, though.

Call up Fender Customer Relations, and give them the serial number. They should be able to give you information on your Rumble 200.

In a way, I'm slightly annoyed that the 3rd generation came out when it did, because it was right after the time that I bought the 2nd generation amp, and I could have probably waited for it. Although, it may have been closer to a year later, and I might have needed an amp before then, which is why I got it in the first place. The only advantage to me with the 3rd generation would be half the weight, and I could hook up an 8 ohm cab to it, which you have to for the full 500 watts. I still like the sound of my combo, though. I had it cranked up yesterday, running the Precision Bass through it, and jamming out.

And you know it was hard to anticipate what Fender was going to do with the third generation at that time.

That's true. Who even knows if they might come out with a 4th generation, or something else, entirely. There's new things out all of the time. I'd say the market seems to be over saturated with bass gear, which probably isn't a bad thing for us, or maybe at least our wallets. :P

It's sometimes mentioned that Fender has plans for upgrades that they hold back on, to use in future generations.

I notice they usually focus more on guitar amps first, if anything. I noticed you don't have the pic of the cherry SG in your signature. You decide to get rid of it?

Yep. I'm playing and liking the Walnut more. And since they are somewhat a mirror image of each other, the Walnut has won out.

Yeah, that would make sense. So, you have anything in mind to take it's place, or you don't have any GAS at the moment?
