Yeah, I've watched some documentaries about that. It was one hell of a situation.

The organizers never in their wildest dreams could've anticipated all those people with out tickets to show up.

Yeah, wasn't it like a half a million, or something like that? I forget the actual stats, and a lot of people just showed up and crashed the gates, basically.

No basically about it. Half a million was the number, and a lot of the freeloaders tore down fencing to get onto the property. Most of them showed up without food , water, and provisions.

Yeah, it turned out to be sort of a clusterf**k, in a way. They weren't 100% prepared for the whole thing, and it wound up blowing up to this huge thing that they didn't even anticipate happening.

I forget what they anticipated for ticket sales for the three days, but it was no where near the out come of being literally over run.

Yeah, I wonder how much money they lost over the whole deal, or how it even turned out financially? I think there was something about that somewhere, maybe a documentary film about it.

They lost big time. I heard the figures a while back, but I don't recall the exact numbers.

Yeah, I heard it was pretty bad, even though the whole thing was historically significant.

It was one of the big happenings of the 60's for sure. Financially, nope.

Speaking of 60's, I watched a couple of movies today that came out in like 1968, one of them being "Psych-Out." You guys did way too many drugs back then. :P

The funny thing about that movie is pretty much all of the actors in it, like Jack Nicholson, Bruce Dern, Dean Stockwell, and Susan Strasberg were born in the late 30's, and were around 30 years old when that came out. Then again, actors do that all of the time, playing teen roles when they are in their 20's, etc. I have noticed Vox as had a prominence in it, with amps and guitars. Maybe they had some sort of deal with that, or was that a really popular brand used? I'm sure it was Thomas Organ Vox, since it was the US, and not Jennings from the UK.

Vox was big back then. they also were big for being sponsors for almost anyone to promote the Vox name. The Beatles, and Iron Butterfly were about two of the bigger names for sponsors.

It looked like those Super Beatle Vox amps that were used in the films. I suppose that was the flagship model, wasn't it?
