A white Ric would look pretty cool. That's something you don't see a hell of a lot of, it seems. That 50's reissue P Bass that I had was in Olympic White. That's what caught my attention to it, when I had spotted it in a shop. That, and the gold pickguard, and maple fretboard. It sort of popped out at you.

Yep, there's something I like about basses in white, with a maple board.

It does have a clean look to them.

Well at least the head is a Fender. Believe it or not, I was able to acquire my Ampeg SVT-410HLF to go with my Bassman 800. The pair back together again. 800 Watts @ 4ohms.

Very cool! 8) Mine showed up today, as well. I plugged in and played for an hour. It sounds really good. I realized that we have the reverse of each other's rigs. You have Fender head, Ampeg cab, I have Ampeg head, Fender cab. :P

I know, I thought about that also on the way home from SA. It's good to hear the PF800 sounds good though the Fender. I saved $200.00 plus on the deal by going with the Ampeg cab.

That's good that you got a deal with that. 8) Did you even bother playing through any other cabs, or you just had that one worked out in the get go? I would probably would have had an Ampeg cab, but those things are a bit pricey for what I can swing. The Fender is a decent cab, though. I don't have any complaints.

I was going to do the NEO 410, until I saw the SVT was still in a corner. I checked the number, and sure enough it was my SVT. This was marked as a used cab, so I paid a couple hundred less for it. New, it's the same as a 410NEO.

Sounds like a sweet deal. 8) It was probably good timing on your part to when you went in there when you did.

That's what I thought when it came out to saving about $600. on the deal.

I was on the fence any way between the 410NEO, or a 410HLF. They both cost the same new, but the Ampeg is a 4 ohm, the Fender an 8 ohm. I really wanted to get the 800 watts out put from it too. That narrowed it down to the Ampeg, and then the savings somewhat sealed the deal.

That makes sense to me. I'm only able to run the 400 watts at 8 ohms, but I think I should be OK with that. I suppose if it was necessary, I might be able to manage getting another cab to add to the mix.

As long as the second cab has a suitable wattage rating, it may be worth it.

I'd probably just add another Rumble cab, unless I can get an Ampeg cab cheap enough. Whatever that will come up at that particular time. Shopping for gear is kind of a Zen thing for me. It just seems to happen when it does.
