Yeah, it is a pretty big site, and it does have other sections besides bass guitars and amps.

It's time to wake up this sleeping giant of a topic. I'm close to acquiring a Bassman 500. I'm thinking it will match up fine with the Hartke HyDrive HD210 cab.

It should sound good I hope.

I would think so. They are usually pretty decent pieces of gear.

I've decided to go for the Bassman 800 after all. I know the way I am. I'd get the Bassman 500, and change what little mind I have left, and want to get the Bassman 800. It's just the way I am.

It turns out the Bassman 800 I'm picking up on Wednesday was the 800 I returned. It was just brought out to the floor the other day. It spent most of the time in the stock room Sam Ash had it, before going out to the floor. The store manager mentioned no one really showed an interest in it because of the price, and they didn't have it hooked up to any cabs. It was also somewhat hidden by it's location on the floor, due to space. That Sam Ash moves a good number of Bassman 500 heads.

That's interesting that it's the same one. Things sometimes go in circles.

That they do. Lucky for me too, it wasn't messed with. It was never even turned on, or played through. I knew it was my amp when I saw it the other day. The power cord, foot switch, and cover were still intact from when I brought it in.

That works out pretty well, then. You know, that wasn't the first time that's happened to you with that sort of thing.

Yeah, I remember. Isn't that your usual gear haunt?

Unfortunately, they don't have any Sam Ash stores in Rhode Island, so the only time I've ever dealt with them was when we played in New York City and stayed on the border in Connecticut. They have a store in White Plains, NY that we'd went into for some stuff. I don't remember if I actually went into the New York City location, or not. I doesn't seem likely, but it's been quite a few years.
