The thing is, even if they were being made here, a lot of the components would be made elsewhere, anyway. So it would be assembled here, more than anything. At least it would give people jobs that do live here, which isn't a bad thing.

I agree with you on that totally.

So you decided to hold on to it, then?

It didn't make sense to not hang on to it after all.

Yeah, it's a good amp with the right kind of features. Probably anything else would just be cosmetically different.

The Bassman just kinda' looks right with a half stack cab. Power between the two are identical. And the Bassman is only 17 pounds.

Yep. It just kinda' looks good sitting on top of the SVT212. The amp combination is really showing off the the Gibson sounds from the SG Std. The 4 ohms, and the 500 watts of power equalizes the input power of the twin Humbuckings. That was probably a problem in the past, the amps didn't have enough wattage (power), to get the muddy sound out. My friend's Kustom, and Acoustic proved that to me. just ramblings from and old man.

Yeah, you got some more headroom to use, so you have a cleaner signal, I think.

That's pretty much what's going on I believe also. 100 Watts there abouts on the headroom.

That should be pretty proficient. Speaking of amplifiers, I'll be using the Orange head pretty soon. Things are starting to get cooking in the music kitchen and are going to be taking off. Big plans on the horizon, but I'm not going to say anything about it here, until it actually happens.

That sounds very interesting. At least your Orange has more power than you may need. That's a good strong head. Maybe it's a good thing you hung on to that, like myself with the Bassman. You sure don't need more power with the Orange.

Yeah, the Orange is certainly a powerhouse, but the one thing I do like about it besides the ridiculous wattage, is the fact I can just simply carry it over the shoulder in it's own bag. That's so handy, saving on load in/out trips. It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to sell my cabs, since that person never contacted us again, so I still have those for now. My girlfriend still wants to get an Ampeg, too. That's just a matter of having the funds to do so.

What Ampeg was she wanting to get? Was that the SVT-7PRO head?
