There's even some website dedicated to all of the effed up stuff that goes on down there. It's a "special place," isn't it? :P

Strangely enough, I'll miss it in the winter time. That's the trade off living up here, when it's a blizzard and 5 degrees outside with 30 MPH winds.

Like most places people choose to live in, they are trade offs like you said. I would have a bit of discomfort dealing with the hard winters up north anymore.

I know. The older you get, the more discomforting it seems, too.

Oh yeah,.... I have finger problems sometimes in the A/C. All that stuff ya' never thought would happen to you when you were younger, can very well happen later in life.

I guess when you're young, you don't think about being old. I sure as hell didn't.

Well, considering you were having a "South East Asian Vacation" back then, you had a damn good reason to think that was a strong possibility. With all of this crazy crap going on with North Korea, we might have another war popping up here, sooner or later.

No joke. This crap has been going on for 60 odd years now, and getting worse. At least we're not sitting by the DMZ waiting for the crap to hit the fan. That's not going to be pretty, that's for sure.

The quote Bill Clinton said, when he visited the DMZ, "the scariest place on earth."

Hmm, I always thought if he said that, it would be in reference to his bedroom. :P

Seriously though, I wouldn't doubt that.

A good friend of mine was an MP there in the mid 70's. That's what he said about the DMZ when he was there too. No smokin', and jokin' about it. A very serious situation there, he always told me.

Well, I have a feeling it's about to get scarier, sooner or later. I actually know someone that lives in South Korea, who is an expat from the UK. I've never discussed anything about this with him, though. He's more of a music related association on Facebook. Still, if I was him, I don't know what the hell I'd be thinking about now. He's certainly never mentioned anything about it, so maybe the whole thing is business as usual for them over there.
