Hi , I am looking for a new head.
How is the reliability of the amp?

500/800

The 500 as been out for sometimes, any issues?

The amp will be used twice a week plus for 3-4 gigs per year.
I have narrowed my choice to the bassman serie and the boogie D800 plus

cabs 2x rumble 410v3
thanks

It sure doesn't do any tube heads any favors, that's for sure

That's a nice looking set up. 8) So, I take it that you decided to go with that instead of the Rumble versions then?

The Rumbles didn't give the option of the stronger Neo 15" Eminence, and a slightly larger cab.

You were actually the last person to even post there a long time ago. At least we've been dusting off the cobwebs in the bass amp section a bit. :P

That's true. The Rumbles are more of the budget line, even though they're pretty good amps. You do have more bells and whistles with what you got.

The 115 Neo cab does have the US Eminence Neo 15", a larger cab, and a full range horn attenuator. The 115 Neo is a 700 / 350 watts, as compared to the Rumble 115 being a 600 / 300 watts. The 350 watts matches up to the 8 ohms on the Fender 500 heads. Weather Bassman 500, or Rumble 500 head.

They may be minor things, but I guess I kinda' like the trivial points of things.

I wouldn't say too trivial. Sometimes, even the smallest details can have an impact on one's preferences for things.

True. I do tend to try to seek out, and compare to other alike items. Amps especially. I guess it was the main reason I did ok as a head Roadie. And, I guess it was the main reason it kinda' caused me to call it quits as a head Roadie.
