It should be in Friday. For what ever reason, it didn't make the truck for today's delivery.

Well, at least you don't have to wait an extra month. That's always a joy. :P

Remember I had to wait at least a month for that Carvin cab, because they didn't apparently know their right hand from their left? Something like that.

Yes, you had an order that should have only taken a week at best.

Yeah, I seriously doubt I'll do anymore business with them because of that. It's not really worth it, especially since I don't need any more amps, unless something happens to what I have. Then I'd just get something from AMS like a Fender, Ampeg, Peavey, or whatever amp. Cabs usually just need new speakers, so I don't have to worry about the boxes, pending any disasters causing their damage.

There really are a good number of other sources to deal with if you do need supplies. I was pretty lucky that they had a 500C in a carton, when I did the Rumble. I'm not to trusting the condition of cabs on the floor of a shop. There are to many fools out there that have to crank it up. And the stores don't want to keep much stock of almost anything anymore. I get tired of hearing, if we have it in stock, it's on the floor.

Another thing is if you buy something off the floor, it's not actually new, although they'll typically charge you for being new. That's what I like about AMS, since they are primarily a warehouse that sells it's products new in the box from the manufacturer. If it's taken out of the box it came in or used as a demo, they price it accordingly. I've gotten really good deals with that.

I always thought a floor model should be priced accordingly, not as new, and in the carton still.

Basses are somewhat about the same, within reason. If it looks ok, not dinged up etc., that's pretty much ok. I prefer getting one in when possible. Amps though can be messed over something terrible.

Yeah, especially when they're not being used correctly or abused in some fashion.

That's the point exactly. A tube head can be messed up just from not using the standby correctly. Or not being hooked up to a load.

Yeah, and that can get expensive.
