I cannot find any info regarding known Bass guitarists who use Fender bass amps. Although there is plenty of info regarding electric guitars :(

What are the names of who uses a Fender bass amp?

Are you living under a rock? Or just lazy? Maybe you've heard of Pino Palladino? Or Mike Dirnt? Or Matt Freeman? Or Mel Brown? Or Catherine Popper? Or Angeline Saris? And the list goes on and on. Over 530 bass players at The Fender Rumble Club. Over 1,000 at the Fender Bassman Club. Many tens of thousands of bass players world wide play Fender Bass Amplification. They are the best selling bass amplifiers on the planet.

Yeah I might be a bit on the lazy side but at least my information is correct. Pino mostly uses Ashdown Engineering or Ampeg. (ABM 900 EVO III + ABM 810 Cabs, Ampeg SVT VR + Ampeg SVT 810). It is possible by now that you can tell I ain't living under a rock :)

Musicians are much obliged to "try out" amps that are thrown at them by companies (which Fender makes a good job of), but this does not mean they will continue to use it, this is the case with Pino and Fender.

Fender Bass amps are especially rare outside the U.S. The only names I could find at the Fender website are Mike Dirnt, Corey Britz, and Angeline Saris. Three names, thats it on their website.

This is Ampeg's list. Maybe you've heard some of these names

I use a 1000 watt Orange head, myself. :P Although, I do have a second generation Rumble 350 combo that's a pretty decent amp for me that I've used even for recording and all else there is before I got that. No regrets there. I only got the Orange because it was ridiculously too cheap to pass up and I wanted to have a different speaker configuration than the two 10" one. It's a good idea to have more than one amp, anyway. You never know when that could come in handy.

I'm using the Ampeg setup also, after the Fender head crapped out on me.

That is a nice rig. 8) If I found an SVT 7 for as cheap as I got the Orange, I would have jumped on that, too. The funny thing is that I could sell it even used and have enough money to buy an SVT 7 new.

Did the Super Bassman crap out on you, or was it that Bassman 500 you were talking about? That was a shame about that one. It looked pretty interesting, although kind of expensive for what it was. Then again, so is the Orange amps. They have a 500 watt head out now that costs an extra $100 than the Fender and it doesn't even have the tube preamp, just some overdrive channel. I heard some demos with it and wasn't too impressed, especially for the price and compared to what I have, which they discontinued now.

The Bassman 500 dropped out. The Super Bassman was just to big, and heavy for only 300 watts.

That Bassman 500 didn't hold up to well. That was a big disappointment, I thought it would've held up better than that.

Yeah, maybe it was QC checked by the same people that did that Squier Bass VI I had to send back. :P Seriously though, that is too bad. It did look interesting.

I thought it would've worked pretty well too. Oh well, the Ampeg setup is working fine. No,…… I'm not on any lists of bass players using Ampeg.

An artist endorsement deal wouldn't be too shabby. Speaking of which, I can't seem to find the artists listings on the site anymore since they've changed it around. I wonder if they still have that, or I'm just looking in the wrong place. They use to have it connected with the products. It's funny, all of the stuff I use is now discontinued, even though it was still being made when I bought it all. The Schecter J Bass is gone, The Rumble 350, the Orange Terror Bass 1000, even the Carvin 18" cab I have they just stopped making. You think someone is trying to tell me something? :P Well, they still make the Squier Jazz Bass, so 1 out of 5 ain't bad. :P

Except for the Nils Lofgren solo albums which seem to be wherever you might find an 8-track tape (thrift stores, etc.) I always thought that strange. Must have been a popular dude back then. :P

Paul, is that Joy Division in your avatar?

The guy who replaced Peter Hook used a Fender head of some kind for New Order's recent BBC 6 Music Live concert ft. Elly Jackson / LaRoux (coolest human on the planet imo). See https://youtu.be/RdyzGTVrdKA and you'll get a glimpse of the Fender here and there. Also looks like he's got the cab facing backwards, but that could just be my eyes......
