Thanks, I love it, spend some time down there every night. The best thing is the guitars, the drums, they're all out in the open, just turn on and go. No taking out cases or putting them away, convenience at it's finest!

I guess Manchester is a lot cleaner now than it was back when I was last up there, but still, won't you spend a lot of time dusting?

I'm looking for the elusive cousin to the brown note - the clear note, which when played loudly will cause all dust to fall of all guitars and other knick-knack.

I've got a vacuum sucker arth, plus a good open string crash chord before you start playing helps. lol
Yes it is a lot cleaner 'round our parts now since they shut down all the cotton mills and banned smoking chimneys. I can remember when I was a kid walking outside with a scarf tied around my mouth, we had this horrendous fog mixed with smoke, we called it smog. Thankfully things are a lot cleaner now.

I remember they implemented an ordinance that we had to use coke instead of coal to cut some of the smog. And it became my job as a little kid to not only carry the stuff, but to wet it before and during use, because (I think) granny's old stove couldn't handle the extra heat of coke.
Yeah, it's a lot cleaner now. And we have quit smoking too, which helps. I'm still thinking of getting an air purifier. And shave the cats of the lady upstairs.

So are you 65 today Rollie? Happy Birthday then man, yes it takes a while to get there but it's worth it. Are you a pensioner now, I'm happily retired myself, so no more work problems, life really is different.
So have a great day and all the best pal. :D

Thank you Steven ! Yes I've been retired since the end of 2010 and after working 47 years it has been different but in a good way.

Ah, yes. This thing they call retirement. Never let it be said, "I don't know what I'll do when I retire. I'll probably be bored." I'm still trying to find out how that works. I'm starting to think I didn't do anything at home when I worked, because there's always something to do!?

I've been retired for 5 years now. My missus has thankfully retired in the past year, and now she has gotten to know how I kept busy while she worked. I would get her to help me get my act together, but it seems she's too busy doing her own things. Actually she is a big help, but with the two of us it looks like we have twice the challenge that I had before. For all those soon to be retiring, there's lots to enjoy. For those already in retirement have a happy keep on keepin' on.

Good to know I'll have some time to get it right.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Rhumba, I love your playing. Your fluid, melodious style is exceptional at any age. I'm only 64 and am just now starting to learn "real" guitar after 45 years of acoustic 12 string blandness. You encourage me to stick with it and maybe by 65 I can only hope to create some similar sounds as I heard today on your video.

The avatar is me at 15 (1967), playing with my band.

Thanks LawFlow for your kind comments, I'm glad to be of some use, keep at it and you'll get to where you want to be.
Funny thing is I've just started playing an acoustic, ha. Maybe you could show me some things on a video.
Cheers man and all the best. 8)

Good pic of your band by the way, the sixties were a good time. I started in 1963 when I was 13. Seems a long time ago now. :D
