Have not seen either model in store yet to give them a try, but the video certainly sounds sweet and the amps look great!

I'm sure they sound great (one can only tell that for certain in person), but they do seem a bit dear for solid states. They could be worth it, but in that price range they compete with tube amps.

If I were on the floor and had the choice between spending $900 on (a) an Acoustic SFX or (b) an Acoustasonic 150 and a $450 guitar, well...

Agreed. If I had a quality home studio set up and was trying to achieve that near industry quality sound at home this might be a good addition. However, I think your example hits the nail on the head. For most of us out there playing in venues or small events. An Acousticasonic 150 and a decent Acoustic/Electric is a more practical investment.
