Rugby world cup Scotland v USA today, cracking game last night, England v Wales should have been an England win but got sucker punched in last 5 - 10 mins of game though, could go out of tournament in the group stages.
Don't hear much about rugby played in US, not a fanatical supporter myself, just enjoy the Scotland games when televised. Looking forward to this match.
And keeping it music related strats at the ready for National Anthems.

We do, but not many rugby fields. The American teams generally play on smaller American football fields, which are noticeably shorter (100 yards instead of 100 m, and quite a bit narrower too). Which puts American teams at a disadvantage when facing teams from other countries.
The extra personal protection required by many American teams, and especially school teams, is another factor.
Still, American rugby teams do surprisingly well, considering the drawbacks.

I've watched a few rugby games here and there, but it's been a while. I haven't followed much of any sports lately for some reason.

Haha yeah, kinda the reply I was expecting, was close up to half time, talk of another upset on the cards, after the break though Scotland went à bit further up the gears, litstening to commentary it seems à few of US players were either born in US and therefore qualified to play, others play outside US, à few of them in UK it seem's

Apparently, they deflated the ball in the old days, the guys got tired running that long distance, some were whining about the scrapes and bruises before pad protection, and they thought shorts looked sissy and pre AC/DC.

Not long after, the ball was shrunk (more for the Americans which seems trendy today), the field was shrunk (more for the Americans with more chances to run downs down the field). Coneheads became the norm with helmets and big shoulder pads to make them look big so they could walk among men without being called a wuss. But, then spandex became the rage to show the feminine side.

Thus, the CFL and NFL/AFL was born from college teams.

Say it is so. Let it be done.

Now excuse me while I watch the football game. Having played rugby and North American football in my youth, I find it all good IMHO. YMMV.

Meh, the only sport I can stand to watch these days is hockey. I must have a short attention span.
