I hadn't a clue myself. I saw them on the Sweetwater Guitar Bass Gallery. The SG style body is my total Achilles Heel for a body design. An old man's habits from the past.

I might be getting a new bass cab soon. Someone expressed interest in buying my cabs, even though I didn't have them for sale. I've been trying to sell my Schecter J Bass, and the pic that I have with it is it leaning against my Orange stack, so that is how they know about those.

I'm willing to dump them, especially the 2 x 10" cab, so I can get something that I can use as a single cab for smaller shows, or where it's not practical to have two cabs. It's not a terrible cab, but I don't like it by itself, and only got it to compliment my 18" cab for extra high end. I should have just got a 15" or 12" cab, but that was my screw up. As much as I like the 18" cab for it's low end, I'll sell that too, for similar reasons stated above.

The question is if I can sell them, I'll have to figure out what I'm going to get to replace them, and this time choose wisely. Something that I can use by itself, or stacked if needed. Maybe a 15" or something along those lines.

15's, 12's, or 10's are more versatile overall. You may not have had the workings of the 12's, but they can be the best of any. I'm obviously liking the 4 ohm single cab. In one cab the full power is put out from the 4 ohm head. More simplistic, and no decisions to what cab, or combination of cabs to use.

The great thing about the Orange head is that it has switchable impedance between 4 and 8 ohms, so I can get by with one cab and have the wattage stay the same. I just have to by careful when running two cabs with that switch, so it's set right. You know, if I can get my hands on a 4 x 12" cab, that would be pretty cool, too. I know it's not compact, but what an old school sound I could get with that and the Orange. Of course, this is if the person actually wants to buy my cabs, and does so. Otherwise, I'm just keeping what I have.

A 412 cab with your Orange would be a Monster.

Most definitely. I just wonder if I could get it upstairs to my rehearsal room, though? I do have to keep that in consideration, unless I can manage to squeeze it in my office and move out the Rumble combo.

Glenn, don’t you let go of the neck on that SG.
Nothing will stop that neck from falling to the floor.
I had an SG bass many years ago and I kept forgetting I had to hold it up and the headstock would clank down hard on the floor, like a brick falling off a second story.
I decided it must have been the cheap nylon strap I was using that was so slippery.
I went out and bought a split leather job that was rough and kinda grippy inside.
Then I forgot and grabbed a mic stand with both hands to adjust the mic height up.
The neck still hit the floor but now my shirt was pulled up the back and almost over my head.
Talk about an embarrassing moment on stage .....

Just hold on for dear life is all I’m saying.
Or get a leather shoe lace and strap the bass behind the nut like how some people used to strap acoustics back in the day.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I've been suggesting that to EB0 SG Std. players for years. It changes the angle from straight down to the strap knob, to angling it out to the head.
I have a wide leather strap that's pretty rough on the inside of it. I'm used to the Gibson, "Neck Dive of Death" from my first EB0 in 1969/1970.
