How do those DOD pedals hold up these days? I remember the ones from the late 80's/early 90's use to break pretty easily, so I've always used Boss pedals, instead. That one is all metal, at least.

It looks solidly built, but I haven't had it long and only time will tell. A marketing guy at Harmon, Tom Cram, has been in charge of its effects pedal business for the last few years and has turned out a lot of new and/or improved products under the DigiTech name at reasonable prices. A few years ago, the DOD brand was resurrected.

Full Disclosure: I bought a new reissue DOD 440 Envelope Filter from one of the big pedal dealers. It was dead on arrival. They couldn't replace it because the reissue had been discontinued by then.

Wow, that sucks. So what happened? Were you able to get a refund of some sort, or at least credit towards another pedal?

My last gear buy was the DOD Boneshaker -- Distortion with EQ. I bought it directly from the manufacturer, Harmon. The street price is usually $149, but Harmon was selling it direct for just $39 with free shipping. Sounds great, but with nine knobs, there is still a lot of tweaking to do. It becomes the 33rd pedal in my current arsenal.

as I promised, here is a small report about my new compressor :
time for adaptation was very short .this device seemed very musical to me. it will be the first in the chain and will always be engaged. I set a short attack time and a small compression( sustain) , blend almost full .The signal is transparent, there are no nasty clicks, and the compression works nicely however as i feel it . In the box is also found a funny branded bag Image

Thanks , for the photos of your great looking board and the review, Alex.

How was the noise added with the compressor. No doubt you'd have a little? TIA

with knobs set like this , and sustain untl 11 - there was no noise at all . With a nice squashing though. I tried it with my Gibson lp standard (bb pro pu)

They gave me a refund. I haven't bought a pedal from them since because the last few I bought (except the Boneshaker) were used. I think they think I'm mad at them because they keep sending me codes for 20% off even when they aren't having a sale. I'll do business with then again when I need a brand new pedal.

I was using a loaner for a bit, until my own Spl. Edition Deluxe PJ Precision came in. FSR, Sea Foam Pearl. ImageImage

I wonder if the pickguard you have on your Precision is the same size as the one that's on my Squier? They look the same, but I suppose there could be differences where the holes are, etc. I'm assuming since Squier is made by Fender, most of the parts would be interchangeable.

I just took the plunge on the Keeley D&M Drive pedal. It's excellent (well, for my tone search anyway), and I've retired my Fultone OCD which I never could get on with. The board presently looks like this:- (NB: the settings are for my Strat American Standard with a Kinman Blues Set)
