I've played it though the Rumble 350, already. I had to make sure it was working and all of that. It does sound really good with it.

I'm not surprised that it's sounds good through the Rumble 350. My Rumble is similar to yours, and I have no complaints with it at all.

You know, that kind of burned my biscuit when they came out with the Rumble 500, because I had just bought the Rumble 350 not much long before that. :P It's OK, it's still an excellent amp, albeit a heavy SOB. It's already been 5 1/2 years since I did buy it. Time flies, I suppose.

I was glad to see when Fender started to use plywood in place of the MDF. I had all I could handle with the MDF on the Marshall amps, I had previously.

Yeah, that stuff can get heavy, the new Rumbles are half the weight. It does have a good bass response to it, though. Not sure if that's a contributing factor, or not, with it's density.

MDF is supposedly a decent material for sound, my main gripes with it is, the weight, and screw holes strip out to easily. My Marshall Bass amps were extremely heavy for what they were. Marshall's were never light , but these Marshall's were MDF, not wood.

Yeah, I've heard about the possible MDF issues, besides weight. Luckily, I haven't had any with the Rumble. I remember you talking about that Marshall. It's a shame that happened with them. I thought they looked pretty cool and had some good features, but obviously that's not enough to have a working bass amp.

They sounded fine. But you're right about them not being a working bass amp. Fan motors running extremely loud, speaker grills coming lose, and rattling, and my most favorite one, was the the head that caught on fire.

Hey, at least you could toast some marshmallows with it. :P Seriously, that sucks, though. I've had an amp fry out on me, but it didn't catch on fire, just smoke a bit. That's when the transformer burnt out on my Ampeg SVT 3 Pro head that I had. That was an expensive smell. It cost $275 to get it fixed, and they didn't have all of the cheap amps like they do today to where you could just buy another one for around that price and not worry about it. That's probably why they don't fix as much stuff these days and just replace it, if you have a warranty.

Good grab,Mike. I have the 2i2 first generation. Although, it's well built and sounds great, the 2nd generation has more headroom which would come in handy with my mixer. My Strat isn't as hot as some (which for my purpose suits me fine). The input straight from the guitar is close to max when the volume is turned all the way down, however, and I've yet to hook up the Taylor so we'll see how that works. I know you'll enjoy that interface. The reduced latency, included DAWs with their goodies, and the usable plug-ins plus the monthly ones are a bonus. Enjoy!

Last Thursday I received my new 2017 Gibson SG Standard HP heritage cherry from Sweetwater. The guitar and case are perfect. There are no dents, scraps, scratches or manufacturing defects of any kind. Sweewater set it up beautifully. All I had to do was tune it and, with GForce, I simply pushed one button and strummed once. I had to laugh as the tuner knobs turned by themselves. To my ears, it sounded perfect but I checked it with my Korg tuner plugged into the output jack and it was spot on. This guitar is a pleasure to play and I haven't been able to put it down. :D

That's fantastic, Marky. Those tuners are pretty slick. I showed them to Mrs. FSB and she thought so too.

Have many great years and good times with your new baby.

Congrats Marky ! I often think about SG too.
G force is a very convenient thing to work with. I have one on my Gibson Midtown Standard and I want to buy one for my Gibson LP standard. Just forget about the tuner clip ☺

Sounds pretty cool. 8) I know a lot of people complained about having that automatic tuner, but I think it's pretty clever. I wish I had that, since that would save a lot of time.
