A pretty nice boutique tube amp. It's being built for me, so I won't get it for about 3 or 4 weeks.

Not sure. I have a couple cabinets. But he's building one as an experiment and I might be persuaded get it to use it with this amp.

The last one for me was this.....

Hunting for a reverb pedal, ended up with this American one (California series), all covered with grunge, 450 bucks and two hours of cleaning........it now looks as good as it plays, clean low and smooth.

But I still need a reverb pedal.........damn.

Don't let go of the neck while standing on a stage wearing a strap to hold that thing up. It WILL fall.

"The Neck Dive Of Death". I've seen a few have the head fractures while in the old style cases too. It only took them 50 plus years to put it in a new style case to lessen, or eliminate head fractures.

One of the first basses I ever owned was an SG. I dropped it so many times. Ugh. It became a pet peave for me. You can't just go ahead and steady the mic stand with your left hand while you adjust the mic with your right. So many other times I needed my left hand for something and bang, down it goes. Mine never broke but it really did bother me that it happened all the time. No hesitation, either. Just ... if you let go? Boom. Instant. I eventually sold the guitar out of frustration. Actually I think I gave it away, IIRC.

This one time? At band camp? I decided I had had my fill of losing the neck so I got a different strap made from split leather with a rough, grippy surface on the side against my body. I let go of the neck and the headstock still hit the ground only now my shirt was bunched up around my neck and was partially over my head. I lost my balance and fell. This was on stage. Like, in front of people and everything.

Yah, that was the last time that bass ever saw a stage while in my possession.

And so anyway .... Congrats on your new bass!!!
Woo Hoo!

Marshall 5210, 1x12 50W combo amp. '80's solid state, pre-"Valvestate" and pre-"AVT." Picked up for peanuts. New knobs on order. For now, my Fender two-button footswitch works to change the channels. Will buy another footswitch soon, so each amp has its own dedicated switch.

Because rock.

My latest acquisition......

Fender Pro Reverb Amp built in April of 1968 -- never modded or molested, and all original right down to its OEM Utah speakers.

I noticed that in your signature ... gotta love a Sherry. Any upgrades yet? I've installed a Tusq nut and saddles in my Epiphone 'Lucille. Major improvement in holding a tuning.
