Nice! Gotta love that lighter weight. Does that include the pups? :P

I posted in December about the 2 Epiphone Les Pauls I got last Fall (both setnecks; a Les Paul Special in TV White and a Les Paul Deluxe in metallic red). More recently, I picked up another old solid state Marshall, a "Reverb 75." It's a 1x12" two-channel combo, 75W, Model 5275:

Image

I already previously had two others from the same 1980s solid state JCM 800 series, the Model 5002 "Lead 20" (20W 1x10 single channel) and a Model 5210 (50W 1x12 dual channel):

Image

Last Friday night my 1989-'90 band did a reunion gig, and as my Sovtek Tube Midget was down for a re-tube, I decided to play the gig with a "Marshall mini-stack" of the two 1x12 combos, the 5210 (on top, in the slightly smaller cab) and the new 5275. They did great, unmic'd, small room. Here's the backline:

Image

The other guitarist was running a Vox AC15. I played my Les Paul Deluxe. Yum. Here's a live shot:

Here's a viddy of our first song. I don't do anything of note, just basic rhythm for the most part, but if you've never heard the early Marshall JCM 800 solid states, here's your chance. There's a long intro (basically the first half of the video) that you should feel free to skip over, unless you want the deets on a long semi-extinct piss-ant band from Gainesville, Florida, which you should (I think) be able to see if you are on facebook:

Thanks for watching, this forum isn't set up to directly link to facebook videos, so that they'll they appear/play "inline" in a thread, so I wasn't sure if clicking on the link to it would work.

Thanks, it was a good combination, I think, his Vox with his "double-fat" (two-humbucker) Fender Strat, and me with the Marshall/Les Paul rig.

Got the pickgaurd in that DropBox link for my Seafoam Green Squire "Partscaster".

Also starting to build an arsenal of Luthier tools for my own use, and to work on friends guitars.

That is a very cool looking bass, always thought someday I'll have a Mustang but I'm still pretty fond of my Musicmasters toos.

Are those strings the DR Black Beauties? I have those on both of my Musicmasters and love the sound of them.

Thanks, but the strings are D'Addario ETB92S Nylons.
