Nice hollow-body! 8) I'm a big fan of the instrument style. I finally was able to get a hollow-body bass (a violin type one, or I guess would be a Hofner copy) a couple of months ago, and been playing that almost exclusively. The great thing about it is it's pretty loud acoustically, so I don't even have to plug in to hear myself to practice with it. It sounds pretty good, too. 8)

I guess this is considered 'gear' because I use it with Logic and GB.

I bought a new Apple Smart Keyboard (no more changing AA's!)

Hey Mike - Nice set up. I'm still stuck in the Windows days and before that DOS and assembly language. That's quite a machine you have... congratulations!

My Girlfriend bought me a Fender Guitar Strap in anticipation that I'll be getting an American Standard soon. It just makes me wish I had that final $300 and change I need to get it lol :)

Got myself an electro harmonix LPB-1 lead boost pedal. And after looking at various power bricks to try and get rid of my hum, turns out the main culprit was my power adaptor. Just old and noisy. £7 later hum is gone !

Can't do anything about the AC hum of my English muff'n, and also found out my danelectro triple wah is also old and noisy, so looking at a Mooer Wahter being my next and final pedalist purchase.

I just got the Aerodyne this week. Shined her up from her battle scars. Adjusted the bridge, put new strings. For the price, I'm very happy with her.

How close is that Aerodyne to a Power Jazz Bass? They seem to look similar in some ways, but I've never played an Aerodyne bass. However, I do remember the Power Jazz basses from back in the day. That's when I first started out playing bass.

Neck feel is similar. The growl a bit different, the power jazz bass special have active electronics. The position of the p pup is also different. The Power also have 22 frets opposed to 20 on the Aerodyne.

The Aerodyne is lighter by about two pounds. I like the binding and the 'black chrome' hardware on them too.

Thanks for the interest Paul.

Just got back from Guitar Center... They were OUT of American Standard Strats in white and could not get anymore because they are no longer going to be manufacturing the American Standard. The only Americans they are going to be making in the US will be the PROs and the Elites.

So I was FORCED...hehee to get an American Pro. Sadly it won't arrive from the factory until March 11.

On Stage XCG4 Black Tripod Guitar Stand, Single Stand. Not very exciting but I can't afford to buy anything else right now. :(

I know what you mean, I've been waiting to get some extra cash to get some new flatwound bass strings for my hollow-body bass. There's a lot of other extra expenses that popped up this month and flats aren't exactly dirt cheap, especially the ones I want to get. At least I don't have to change them too often.

In the past couple of weeks I have acquire 3 new items.

- A Furman power conditioner for my P/A rack.
- An Xotic EP Booster mini-pedal, which I really like. It fattens up a single coil quite nicely without losing any charm.
- An Xotic SL Drive mini-pedal, which is a pretty good emulation of a Marshall Super Lead 1959.

The only caveat I can think of is that I'm not crazy about having to open up the Xotic pedals to flip the DIPs but once dialed they do a nice job.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
