got a good deal on a carvin v3m combo. replaced the speaker, put some new tubes in, and I'm ready to go with an amp I can lift without hurting myself.

at my age (62) I have 2 choices-find someone willing to haul my gear, or be a cheapskate and just get a lighter amp.

Today, I acquired an Olympic White, Mustang PJ today at a local GC. It's in pristine condition, meaning no little hands her gotten to it yet. It was just up this morning. The color was labeled a Sonic Blue, not Olympic White that it actually is. A good playing bass.

Thanks, I've got to tell ya', it plays sweet. I serious that if this were my only bass, I don't know that I'd be in any hurry to acquire any more. Fender really did a great job on the design of this one. QC is fantastic on it.

There's nothing like a good spring reverb, mud. I used to have one hanging under my '64 Parisienne dash panel so the stock AM radio would have effect. It was pretty cool in those days until Muntz, Craig, and Motorola, amongst others hopped on board with 8 tracks. But, the greatest sensation was when the car ran over railway tracks and potholes. That was reverbbbbb.

For the Mustang PJ, I have a Fender Urban Short - Scale Gig Bag, and a set of D'Addario ETB92S Nylons in route. Friday, and or Saturday deliveries. Image

Thanks Zontar. It's a good player.
In the spirit of Cyber Monday, I ordered a Black Jazz PG from Fender.
