Congrats, Drew ! That's an interesting amp. The other guitar player in my band uses a similar amp, but I think it's got a lower wattage. He drives his Strat through a Roland GR55 and into this, and it sounds amazingly good! Of course, he's got the midi options there- but I mean the normal guitar sounds he gets from that rig are astonishing . Seems to work fine even with his Fender Banjo and my mandolin. Have fun !

Thanks, I can plug my Helix into the front of house PA, but I wanted my own backline amp so I still have some control. The number of amp and cab options I now have and the quality of the sound with third party cab IR's, is just amazing. I thought about going this route for about a year, but couldn't get my head fully wrapped around it. Then a friend got me a deal on the Helix, and I needed to say yes or no on the spot. I'm glad I jumped in, it's rejuvenated my playing. The FRFR was the icing, because the Helix sounded good through a guitar cab, but sounds great through the Yamaha FRFR.

My latest is this odd looking amp. A Yamaha DXR12 FRFR, which stands for Full Range Flat Response. 1100 Watts. Paired with my Helix, I have killer live rig.

The Yamaha DXR12 is Outstanding!!

Thanks, I was very surprised that Fender did the "PJ" Precision on the Am. Std. series. 8)

By the way, I very much like the 3-color sunburst finish. Though long gone, my first strat was the 3-color like yours, the models I have since purchased, were only available in the 2-color (tobacco).

These are my latest aquisitions. Early 90's Tele and a used Vox ac4tv. The vox breaks up super fast but it makes for a great living room amp.

I really like Tobacco Burst finishes. I'm not kicking about the 3-Color Sunburst though.

Thanks Miami Mike/SBLS. They make for quite the pair.

Mr. Nylon, i agree. I've always favored a tobacco burst over a 3-tone.

This one is actually a repurchase. I sold it, and bought it back.

just ordered-about an hour ago- an alvarez grateful dead acoustic. guitar center has them on sale for 279 right now. I should have it in about a week- can't wait.

as a fan of the dead since the 60's, this was a no-brainer.
