I have bought what I feel is my last effects pedal -- a DOD Envelope Filter 440.

My GAS list has withered to a volume pedal and one or two small amps for recording like a Fender Pro Jr., a VOX AC4 and a Marshall DSL5 or 15.

Steve, last effects pedal? withering GAS ? My recommendation would be a Boss Metal Zone M-2 and a set of
active pick-ups for your Telecaster then, call me in the morning (just IMHO YMMV, Doc)

Maybe it's not my last. I can't get it to work!!! Looks like I got a lemon.

It's been a slow gear year for me so far. I had an "okay, you're in your 60s now, it's time to get serious about maintaining your health" wake up calls in March and I'm still waiting for that dust to settle. So it has been this Sea Foam Green, rosewood neck American Standard Tele and a Vox mini Cry Baby wah pedal.

Thanks Solid Body and Mr. Nylon. There's a story behind the purchase of the USA Professional. After retiring a few years ago, we've been coming back to the mid-west visiting family and staying a few months each time, leaving my Stratocasters back home, in California. I wanted a guitar to play while here and leave behind, so, last year I bought a Squier Bullet. Though it served its purpose, on this return trip, I wanted something a little better. SO, browsing the local GC, I tried saw an MIM Arctic White Strat on sale, which I bought. However, upon leaving the store, I encountered the USA Professional in another room, hwever, was more than I wanted to spend. But, after playing the MIM at the house, I reconsidered the USA Professional, returning to GC and exchanging the MIM for it. I really like it, and now question whether I’ll leave it here when I return to California.

I gave that mini Cry Baby a good demo before deciding on the Soul Press.

That Soul Press pedal looks very cool. It's definitely more versatile than the Dunlop mini Cry Baby. I am intrigued.

Nice little amp! You get to hold a 50th year birthday party for it next year!

I've wanted a nice old amp myself, but one of the things that worry me is that the power supply in those I've looked at appears to have not aged so well. I don't know whether it's because 120V vs 110V reduces their life span, or the components not being good in the first place, but the few I looked at had problems delivering power.

No kidding I tried it in the store and have not turned it on since. I will be putting in a 3 prong plug, after the capacitor Can 40/20/20/20uF 525VDC and tip for my Weller 100/140 W arrive at my door, swap it out for the very old one, and hope to rock out bedroom style

Bought my girlfriend a classic Boss Super Overdrive SD-1. Kind of cool for nostalgia! :)
