Very nice! Have fun, again. :)

Thanks, I'm feeling a lot better playing the Fender Mustang PJ shorty, over the Epiphone Viola. The neck does fit my hand better. It's a bit quicker for me too. I guess for me, a Fender Bass is hard to beat.

You certainly have more options for adjustments in the action. That's the one thing that's kind of hard to do with the violin basses, like that Epiphone, or the Douglas I have, and that wooden bridge. I guess that's what also gives it it's particular sound, though.

I would think the wooden bridge is the best, well over metal saddles.

It doesn't adjust as well, especially for intonation. Although, I'm sure a pro that does setups could probably set it up good. I've just been good at playing the damned thing, not necessarily fixing it up. Although, I've seemed to manage for the most part all of these years. I've figured out how to fix sharp fret ends, which is still a huge pain, because it's time consuming, with taping up the fretboard, and all of that.

Any thing you pick up on along the way is good to do.

I just swapped out the Markbass, for the Hartke HD150.

Am I correct in thinking this new Hartke is significantly less expensive (new) than the MarkBass you had previously?
And this one is a 115 rather than your usual preference of 12" drivers and with about half the power?
Does that sound about right?

That's pretty much it. It's well worth it. Hartke has a lot better repair network if needed than Markbass. I was in for getting back to a 15" Hartke HyDrive series driver anyway. SA has the HD150 on an excellent sale price now as well. It also has a headphone jack, and a 7 band slide bar EQ. Includes casters. That's about it. I'm ok with 150 Watts @ 4 ohms. My days of doing sound checks at MSG, are far gone down that long and winding road anyway.

Do you have some kind of trick to swapping gear as much as you do?
Are you trading stuff in?
Selling privately?
Buying used?

I do what ever can possibly work right at the time. I've been around for a while.

I wasn't familiar with your new amp so I checked it out. It gets great reviews all-around for a nice price. Congratulations, Glenn.

Thank you Sir. I had a Hartke HD150, four, or five years ago. So I know how it's capable of performing.
