I've been fortunate, or just plain lucky, including my Roadie days to not need, or require any medical attention from moving gear.

Yeah, between working in a sawmill, working as an SF bike messenger, steersman on a lobster boat, and an in home caregiver my body is in rough shape.

The Army didn't do me any favors either. Driving steel trucks weren't always too safe, but maybe the most dangerous job I did, working in, and around railroad cars.

The ironic part is that when I brought my cab home I put it on a luggage cart and rolled it in. I got to the stairs on the first one the support that keeps the handle on the luggage rack popped off so I grabbed the handle on the cab and pulled it up that way. It went well until I hit a 90 degree turn in the stairs. I got it to the first step after the turn it landed on my instep. Not enough to hurt but enough to knock it off balance and almost pull me down the stairs. Needless to say it pulled my back out.

Sorry to hear you pulled your back out, Rev J. The stairs are not good for me either.

This is an update showing the minor upgrades I did to my 2018 Player Strat...

The new bridge with stainless steel saddles and push in trem arm:

An American Standard string tree. This is just for looks. You know, no bent saddles no bent string tree:

That's it for this guitar. I was thinking of a white pearl PG or black plastics but decided I like the white/black contrast. She plays and looks great, IMO. 8)

Looks good. 8) I imagine it plays quite nicely now.

Thanks, Paul. It does play very nicely and I'm happy with it. :)

Fortunately I have a good chiropractor. At one point he was a staff chiropractor for the Oakland Raiders. He does my back, knees, wrists, shoulders, ankles, TMJ etc.

Moto doesn't just come in white.

Just catching up a little here. Classic rock and roll look there, Riderock. Great lookin’ Stratocaster. :D
Got a laugh out of yours and Matt’s GAS over junk, Marky. That kit looks to be some good American Pickin’ on your part. Beauty.

Your black PG looks fine on your Strat IMHO, Marky. YOMV. I had a nice Tungsten 2011 Strat that played very well. It had what I believe to be a decent Indian rosewood neck and it’s black PG looked like the one you have on your Stratocaster. The PG held black witch hats that matched those of the amp it played through. All very nice. What I didn’t care for was the color combo of the neck and the body. I realize that the tungsten body and the fretboard of rosewood is popular with some, but, since this combo didn’t keep my interest, I preferred the unavailable on this particular model maple fretboard with the tungsten. I do prefer rosewood with many other colours, however. As for white pearl PGs, I have to say the original white pearl nitrocellulose PGs were something to rave about. There are some custom white pearls out there today that have a similar pizazz, but I think, in general, today’s versions more often than not fall short. As long as it’s not a side by side competition of pickguards, who's to notice? Besides, just like my taking back the tungsten axe that was fine as it was, it comes down to personal mojo. :D
I used to haul a lot of heavy gear back in the day too. Rev. Cameras without their heavy lenses weighed 100 pounds +/- , cumbersome heads and tripods (fit to be lifted in a gym), and long heavy thick cables (unmeasurable as they varied in length, size, and composition). Today reduced gear is featherweight in comparison. I was lucky to not have major injuries, but I learned that age always presents payback, I do know that a rapid movement with a fall or pain can often spell a worse injury, Here’s a caution I discovered. I was in a hurry to exit a class A motor home, the steps did not come out, so I jumped to the ground. Compacted gravel. The ground didn’t give and I did. Ouch! Pain from my feet to my head. For a pinched nerve on the lower back that flares up once in a while I grab and hang from the upper door frame. It works, but I doubt I'll be doing that for much longer. Take care with that back issue Rev J. I do agree with you and Glenn that stairs are the enemy at times.

That might look really good. I don't want to go with all white or black but I am not 100% happy with the way it looks now, either. I'm going to print the image you posted and lay it under the strings. Thanks, Matt.

BTW - I like the bridge that I put in very much and I'm happy I did it. The quality is very good with one exception. As you know, the push in trem arm is adjustable, by turning a set screw, from swinging freely to staying in place. I adjusted it to a little tighter than swinging freely and when I pulled out the arm, the chrome plating on it was scratched off down to the metal where the set screw made contact. Either the set screw point is very sharp or the plating is really poor quality. The plating appears fine but it makes me wonder. We'll see how it holds up.
