Tbat’s a nice SB Stratavarius bass (see how I did that?) you have there, Glenn or have you changed your name to Paul?
Kidding aside, I went to a country wedding where the bass player had a similar one. It’s a looker for sure and sounded sweet, It’s got Mr.Nylon written all over it. Have good times with your new baby.

Yup.
There it is.
There's that deep ballsy sound again.
Haven't heard that since I sold the Rivera.
That one's staying right where it is.

I take it you put one in your Thiele cabinet. I'm glad you're diggin it. Jimi used a G12H with a 55 c/s bass cone and that says a lot.

Thanks, it's my long awaited replacement for the original "Electric Lady".

I just ordered a used Markbass Mini Mark Ninja head and 1x12 cab off Reverb for about $1600. I figured I deserve something after working 6 and 7 nights a week for 9 months. Plus I didn't have to deal with GC.

Congrats on the MarkBass. And for not having to deal with GC! Image

Yeah Bain Capital (Mitt Romney's company) owns the majority of GC and Musicians Friend. Quite a nifty scam they're running too. Cut music funding in schools then sell musical instruments and educational materials.

Very cool, especially getting it without dealing with GC. 8)

Congrats on a really nice reward for your hard work. I'll never go to a GC. They are the worst, IMO.

That a great flexible head with that cab, RevJ. Living to work and working to live are two totally different things. Good call. Now you can live it up with gusto. You deserve it. :)

I got to try one used in my local music store through I want to say an SWR cab and it passed the flat test (set all controls at 12:00). I will also admit that the Richard Bona signature was a selling point:

Usually this song annoys the crap out of me but the addition of that bass line kinda saves it for me. Almost gives it a mid 70's Joni Mitchell vibe.

The other day I went for an Adam Clayton Sig. Jazz. A nice playing Jazz. ImageImage

Well I got the cabinet on Friday. I just checked the tracking on the head and should have it today. I get a geeky thrill out of tracking packages online.

Well I got the head. They just didn't send a power cord with it. Looks like that's on the agenda for tomorrow.

Thank you, I like it too. The Sherwood Green Metallic is a favorite color of mine.
