I agree with, Paul. Pretty nifty. Besides, it’s really all about the sound and that is a personal vibe.
Enjoy.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking I've really put together a fine set.

Yesterday I’ve bought a very nice secondhand EVH striped series. I’ve been thinking about getting one for quite a while, and being barely used and at a price less than half of new price I could not resist. Also the seller lives 15 minutes away and was willing to deliver it to me. Very nice fellow, by the way. I simply can’t put it down! It’s a very good instrument and also it’s just something intangible about it. Call it charm if you want. It’s the first guitar with Floyd Rose I’ve owned for more than 25 years, and my recollection of not liking them very much is apparently completely wrong. I love it now! Also, there is something about the purity and simplicity of a single pickup instrument that just really appeals to me. I highly recommend these things.

Enjoy many good times with that EVH, Eljay.

Don’t forget to do those vocal warm up exercises before testing that popular Sennheiser e 835 Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Mike.
See? I’m watchin’ out for ya.

I don't know if it counts as gear or not but XLN was having a 50% off sale so I'm downloading "Vintage Colors" and "Drum Shaper" for about $70 all together.

I've been wanting one for a while now.
I won a small check-pool yesterday and came out a couple hunny ahead so I decided to use it to cure a small bout of GAS.
Got me a Sennheiser e906 today.
I parked it in front of my Mark V and I have to say ... there is now an SM57 looking for another way to earn it's keep.
The difference is very noticeable.
I'll likely be putting the 57 up on the block.
Next will be an Audix OM-7 so I can turf my 58.

Hardware.
For cosmetic reasons.

I have a Thiele cabinet that up until recently I was using with the .50 Calibre but I recently decided I like it better with the Mark V so I got a new badge and some corners and washer cups to make it look more at home under the Mark V. It's not an exact match. The tolex is a different texture and the corners are too. I think it is close enough.
