Cool bass. 8) Sans the Jazz Bass, you just completely changed out your entire rig, amps, basses, and all. There's been many times I wish I could do that. :P

Thanks, it's one of the better Gibson SG Std.'s I've played. It plays fine through the tube amp, and 212 cab. Image

I imagine so, with the humbuckers.

The entire bass is a fine example of how a good bass should be made. Yeah,..... the Humbuckings are superior sounding pups. The frets are dressed as they are supposed to be.And like I mentioned before, the intonation is better than any other Gibson I've had out of the box. This one has quality all over it.

A looper pedal. Since I have no time to play in a band . . . I just make up riffs . . . and practice leads on guitar!

I've been using one for years. I think it's on it's last legs. Part of the reason I'm learning Ableton.

Like Mr. Nylon, not a Fender.

I've been thinking about a full hollowbody Jazz Box for a few years now. Considered an Emperor, but I'm not crazy about the quality of my last Epiphone purchase in 2014... a far cry from my excellent early 90's Les Paul.

So I happened across a D'Angelico Premier EXL-1 on Amazon. Floating pickup and scratchguard, floating rosewood (or ebony) bridge. I do wish it had a shorter scale length to get the string tension down a bit. 12ga strings on a 25.5" scale is rough.
So I added it to my wish list. $750 was retail, so no rush to grab it.
A couple of weeks before Christmas, the price dropped to $375. WOAH! Mistake, or intentional?
I saw that the white one was $450, and the black one was still $750. SOLD!
An hour later, I noticed that the listed price was back up to $750. I'm thinking "Mistake and they're going to cancel the order"
Nope... order confirmed, expected delivery Feb 15 to March 26. Wow... 50% off and it wasn't an inventory reduction?

So my birthday present arrived a couple of weeks earlier!
The action might be a hair high, but I'm going to let it acclimate for a week or so before I jump into a setup.

Nice score Rich and a pre happy birthday!
I really like playing my Heritage 550, its got a nice low action and flatwound 12's.
You'll get used to it but full bends are tuff and take me three fingers and that's only on the B & E.
Enjoy it...
