That’ll give you what one of the more popular Classic Strats of the time should sound like. IMHO. A friend’s original ‘62 Daphne was the first one I had the pleasure of playing (in ‘64), and I recall it sounded sweet. But, you know that already. :D
Which pickups are you replacing, Mike? I believe the original ‘62’s were not reverse wound as these are. Will you be adding or needing shielding and modding the tone to period correct? TIA.

Enjoy, Mike!

Replacing Texas Specials which I liked for awhile but hadn't been liking lately. Yes, I bought
a pair with the middle RWRP. I almost went with Fat 50s, but already have those in another Strat.

Rogue mandolin. Nice Nat. Now you can get your Ricky Skaggs on. Enjoy.

Will you be using GarageBand, Logic Pro X, or something else?
What kind of interface do you plan to use?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I've got a Focusrite Scarlet. I plan on running Ableton and ProTools which came with the interface. A few months ago I got a package from B&H with the Scarlet 2i2, a mic, cable, stand, pop screen, monitor headphones, Ableton, and ProTools for about $250. The Mac was used and I got it for about $600.

My general plan is to learn a little about Hip Hop type of programmed production and mixing it with Jazz composition eventually taking what I program and arranging it for a live band. Kinda like Abstract Orchestra.

Nice choice, the TS9 doesn't ever leave my pedalboard now.

That’s a pretty good score ya got there, Rev’. Good price on the laptop for sure. I use Focusrite Scarlett too, and free useful monthly plug-ins brought to one’s attention are a nice bonus to go with all the goodies you get as well as a good and dependable interface. I also got Ableton with mine and I would have preferred Pro Tools, but got Cubase instead. I like Ableton and know some pros who have migrated to Ableton from Cubase and some from Pro Tools. I’m sure the reverse is true too. Cubase is quality stuff, but it can be overwhelming at times, and it’s a time hog on the learning curve which I can spend elsewhere. Still, it’s there if I need it.

Enjoy that new adventure in production with the new tools :D
