My last purchase was last week. I bought a Gibson Les Paul Custom In Ebony, a Fender Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix with the Journeyman Relic in Olympic White and a Marshall JVM 205C amp. I’ve been wanting this gear for many years a finally pulled the trigger. Mainly, due to rewarding myself for having a year clean from opiates. An addiction I got from having open heart surgery and three surgeries from getting seriously hurt while serving in the Army.
I missed this earlier. Congrats for kicking the habit. Now you are reaping the rewards and ready to enjoy life the way it should be. Pretty nice gear to do it with too. From an ex serviceman to another, thanks for doing your part in keeping the world a safer place. You keep safe, and continue with the good clean vibes, neverquitrks.

Looks like a fun project. I noticed it even has truss rod adjustment. Should be good knowing it came from a respected company, and you’ll have the satisfaction knowing that you made it, Eric. That’ll inject mojo. 8)

Interesting kit, Eric.
I see it comes with an instrument cable but no plectrum.
Waddup widdat?
Kidding.

The ad copy says they've got the neck install dialed in but I think I would take my time with it anyway.
Maybe do a number of dry runs and check all alignment parameters to determine what margin there is for variation.
Do you plan to post a build thread?
dunno about a whole build thread but I'll post pics at stages. It'll be a 1st attempt @ building/assembly and finishing. I look forward to the challenge of the setneck gluing process.
They could have thrown in a half dozen picks. Overall the package seems like a hell of deal, kinda wish they had an SG kit. I've been looking for an affordable solid body bucker guitar for a while now. Gonna go for the amber staind antique nitro gloss finish.

Thanks FSB, wish there was a little more spec info on the neck.
Nice Uke Paul

That’s a great looking acoustic bass, Paul. Have plenty good times with that baby my friend.

We have plans to do some acoustic based gigs, with this guitarist we met that does that, so I needed an appropriate instrument to accompany that, plus it does have it's uses. I could take it downtown to busk, etc. I got the Ibanez one, because it was the cheapest available, but they generally make good stuff, too. I've also read several positive reviews, as well. The interesting thing is it is the same size as a standard acoustic, with a 25" scale. I'll see how that pans out.

Thanks. 8) I didn't have time yesterday, but today I'm going to plug it in and makes sure everything is working with the electronics, and how it sounds, etc. I did tune it and play it a little bit, last night. It seems to play nice, and sound pretty good acoustically. I'll also try to take a pic of it, too. That's of course, I wind up keeping it, which I hope will be the case. But you know, sometimes you can get a dud.

Here’s wishing your new acoustic bass will turn out to be all you want it to be, Paul. Let us know how the electronics work out for you.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to plug the acoustic bass in today, due to unforeseen circumstances, but tomorrow most definitely. I need to do this to make sure the damned thing is working so I don't have to make any returns. I did play it a little bit acoustically, and that sounds good, but I still need to make sure everything else is OK, since it is for live performances, which will also require amplification, as well.

Apologies for calling your new BASS a Uke, it was just the picture that made it look that way to me.
Thump on....

Oh, I can see why you thought it was. It's actually pretty small for an acoustic bass. It has a the same scale as a guitar, with a shorter than a short scale bass neck, and about the same overall size. I'll have to find an acoustic guitar size case or bag for it, for when I'll start gigging with it.

OK, I finally was able to plug the Ibanez acoustic bass into the Fender Rumble amp, and everything sounds good. 8) Here's a pic I took of it to post here.

There’s two great looking cushions. Oops! Typo. The cushions are very nice; but, the bass looks great, Paul. Nice the preamp is working for you too. Looks to be a keeper. Now don’t go changing strings too soon.
