I bought a Strymon Flint today.
Such a marvellous piece of gear.
I put both toggles in the middle positions and played Long Cool Woman with the Tele and Long Time Running with the Ric.
The authenticity of the sound is truly inspiring.
It's a very easy thing for me to put the Keeley DynaTrem up for sale as I never really bonded with it anyway but the surprising thing is that I've now put up my venerable Fulltone SupaTrem.
If you had asked me last week I would have said I'd never in a million part with it.
My (secondary) pedal board is very happy to have the Flint mounted.

Nice, Matt. I just checked that Strymon Flint out on their web site. I’ve always liked their reverb and spacey effects. The flexibility of this pedal is really good. I like the division and combinations of the 60s, 70s, and 80s switching. Most of all it sounds good. I don’t think you’ll tire of that none too soon. Sorry your other pedals took a hike, but I think you made a great decision. I like it.

Have fun!

I've seen a lot of videos with that brand. They sound like they are really nice pedals. 8)

I have now owned 5 Strymons over the years.
All very good sounding and built like a tank.
I got rid of 3 a few years back to raise money for another ... whatever; I can't remember.
Possibly the pair of H9s I had.
I've since sold one of those as well.
I had the Blue Sky, Ola, Orbit and Lexx.
I still have the Lexx and likely will never sell it.
It's the best Leslie simulator I've ever tried, even better than the Rotosphere I once owned.
With the Flint I now have 2.
I'd really like to try the Sunset.
I tried the Riverside in a store some weeks back and it was pretty impressive.

I thought I'd better post a pic since I know the rules around here.
"Post a pic or it never happened."

LOL

It didn't impress me much at first but it grew on me.
Now I like it quite a bit.
I find it to be a bit of a one-trick-pony though.
I use it early in my drive stage because I think it's best at light duty grind rather than heavy dirt.
Cranking it up just seems to make it muddy.

I never used to use the EP Booster much because I found it to be too much boost.
It does add girth, though.
Fills out the bottom end nicely.
I use it on the lowest gain setting and it's perfect that way for compensating for the difference between single coils and humbuckers.
That's why I've got it tucked away in a hard to reach location.
I turn it off and on depending on what guitar I'm using.
It helps to keep me from having to tweak the settings on all my stomp boxes

Sharp eyes might notice I have an input jack next to the EP-Booster.
I've got it wired that way so the signal goes to the tuner first.
Makes it much easier to plug in and unplug.

I also installed a computer style jack for an AC connection on the right side.
That 5-sided 3-wire connection used on so many devices.
Much cleaner looking and easier to set up and tear down without any cords dangling.

Skookum looking board there, Matt. Nice call on the mods to keep it practical and clean. :D

My last purchase was last week. I bought a Gibson Les Paul Custom In Ebony, a Fender Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix with the Journeyman Relic in Olympic White and a Marshall JVM 205C amp. I’ve been wanting this gear for many years a finally pulled the trigger. Mainly, due to rewarding myself for having a year clean from opiates. An addiction I got from having open heart surgery and three surgeries from getting seriously hurt while serving in the Army.

Interesting kit, Eric.
I see it comes with an instrument cable but no plectrum.
Waddup widdat?
Kidding.

The ad copy says they've got the neck install dialed in but I think I would take my time with it anyway.
Maybe do a number of dry runs and check all alignment parameters to determine what margin there is for variation.
Do you plan to post a build thread?
