Picked up a Bose S1 Pro, AC/DC capable, two inputs (Guitar/Vocal), and BT for streamed music.
EQ and on board reverb.

it sounds pretty amazing.
That looks to be a handy piece of gear and it looks good too. Nice.

What a great matchup, especially how the red worked out. Talk about continuity, that looks fantastic, Matt.

I don’t know how you got a Ric with that strap, but you did good, and thanks for supporting CDs. I thought I was ancient.

Cheers!

Well...if you're ancient, I am too. I've got quite the collection myself. Have a 101 disk CD Carousel, and my favorite thing to do (to this day) is to hit "Random", and enjoy...can listen for over 72 hours straight (mathematically) without ever hearing the same song twice. Hell, I still have a decent cassette collection....just can't let some things go. LOL

The strap was custom made for me by some Etsy company in the mid-west USA, which I have forgotten the name of at the moment. I sent them a pic of the guitar and asked them to try to capture the spirit of the 'cresting wave' shape on the guitar and the red and the gold. It never occurred to me to do the white piping around the edge so that was a bonus. That's how you get a Ric with that strap. (haha)

I started collecting CDs in the late 80s and I still buy my music in that format when I can.
At last count (last fall, I think) I had 1,114 discs.

Thanks, for the history on that strap, Matt. I understand if you don’t want to tell me the name of the company because then I’ll get them to throw in a Ric too.
I have a couple of 5 disc players with one being an audio only recorder. Those 100+ CD carousels are very cool. I wish I had latched on to a couple when I worked a short period for Sony after I left broadcasting. They were popular and then Sony came out with a hifi hard drive recorder/player.

I have several cassette decks including a dual deck double recorder and my brother’s mint single 3 head deck complete with HX/DBX, and my collection includes various 60s and 70s recordings from the records we had at a high power AM/FM radio/ TV station. I hauled them home in boxes on the weekends, and I acquired blank reel tapes that they would only use a few times before tossing them for new stock.

Canada is over protective of their media, especially with music. Phtt. So, except for the rare novelty, cassette decks are no longer sold (and haven’t been) for some time. Availabiity of audio tape, and Audio only CD recording units and audio only discs are also pretty much unavailable. You can order limited new cassette decks from the U. S. or used; but, forget the few blank International CDs (except those used with computers). They are coded not to work here.
Listeners and musicians/producers alike are not happy about that arrangement. Too bad the government isn’t happy about MP3s, etc. Maybe. I’ll play some or make some today.
The thing about records, tape, and CDs that make them interesting is the fact that out of the thousands of recordings, good and bad, the full material has not and will not become available and that which are will more likely be original compared to the many reproductions. :P On the other hand, unlike me who lost a lot of sleep recording and dubbing to tape, now you can find hard to locate rarities on digital, as Matt pointed out. Those cherished recordings I made are mostly available to everyone now. Ahh, but I’ve always had them. Some are even scratched and warped with flutter and dropouts.
Keep rawkin’ old school White Dog and Matt. 8)

With the purchase of the Squier Bass VI and the Stratocaster XII, I believe I'm done buying guitars. My little condo has trouble enough holding my 12 guitars, two basses and four amps, though, I'm considering buying a Roland JC-22 stereo amp. Fender hasn't made a stereo amplifier in many years.

Now I've gone down the guitar pedal rabbit hole. This year alone I've picked up a Boss Dynamic Wah, a DOD Gonkulator, a DOD Gunslinger, a Vick Audio 1861 Civil War-style muff arrived Friday and I have a Mooer Slow Engine auto swell pedal in trans, my first foray into mini Chinese pedals. Also, I won a Malekko Charlie Foxtrot pedal in one of those weekly eZine contests! This brings my pedal inventory dangerously close to 40 units . . . and I'm looking at others.

Help!

How do you like the Wah and the Gonkulator?

I have about 20 pedals, and I'm constantly looking at more. Right now I'm trying to talk myself out of a Foxx Tone Machine clone because I already have Dano French Toast, which has the exact same circuit.

Since last X-mas, I've bought a DOD Carcosa fuzz, a DOD Boneshaker (which was on sale for $40), and a Joyo Classic Flanger. These days I usually only buy during holiday sales.

I began a foray into the world of boutique pedals during the Black Friday sales of 2016, when I picked up a Red Witch Fuzz God II and a Black Arts Toneworks LSTR. Red Witch had an astonishing 40% off sale, so I just couldn't resist the Fuzz God. Last year I bought a FuzzHugger Algal Bloom and a FuzzHugger VelcroBot. Boutique pedals are amazing, and the lifetime warranties give me a lot of comfort.

I did buy something else over Memorial Day, but that will require its own thread eventually.

Hey there, Stratman. It appears you need to add an addition onto your condo (maybe another pedal or axe)? Sorry, I can’t help ya. It looks like you and Spacewolf have it bad.
Ya gotta love the names of pedals. “Gonkulatorl. That’s a good one. I’d like to be at the Monday morning meetings that decides the latest greatest name for those little stomp boxes. I’ll bet the losers are also hilarious.

Maybe, we should do that kind of identity with our axes. On second thought wacky names for Tele, Strat, Les Paul, Ric, and others would lose that sumpin’. Nah, goofball pedal names are meant to be kicked around. :D

Maybe, just maybe, it would work with basses. We could call one a BiG BazookA or Long Louie or . . .

Imagine the fun we could paint on the cases.

Hi Jason, I'm not sure you can upload directly. Typically you upload your picture to an internet hosting site like imgur, then paste the address of the image into IMG. That works for other images you find on the internet that you want to post, too - no need to download, just copy the image location and paste it into IMG.

Here is an example. If you quote my post and look at it in the window you type in, you will see how easy it is once you know what to do.

Well here's the thing - you'll probably remember the name of that pedal for the rest of your life. Personally, I think it's a lot better than something vanilla, like, oh, "Ring Mod Variant #327".

Personally, I suspect they are named at late Friday afternoon meetings.

I Used to have 2 pedals that I liked the name of more than the sound.

Made by Damage Control :

Nothing new, but Jessica looks really cool with the W&W strap on, doesn't she?

Now that’s funnee, Mike. Just goes to show how a name can spell success. It also goes to show how guitarists can easily
be roped in.

Still, these pedals are worth a purchase for the fun factor. :P

My brand new, Fender CD-140SCE All mahogany Dreadnought , which I got last week from Musicians Friend . I decided it was time to add a Mahogany Acoustic/Electric to my collection and since I mostly play Taylors these days, no way was I going to shell out a couple of grand for a Taylor version. My new Fender sounds great, especially through my Fishman Loudbox Mini.
