Looks like a marriage to me, Glenn. Have great times with those babies.

I really do want to hang on to the gear I have now.

You might, unless you happen to wander in a Sam Ash. :P Oh yeah, speaking of purchasing gear, I found out my Schecter bass sold, so that takes care of all of that. I was actually able to sell everything, with the exception of the Orange head, which I may or may not put back on the market. It's kind of hard to do that, when you need to use an amp like that.

Nice job, Paul. I'm glad you were able to sell almost everything! :) I'm getting closer to selling two guitars that I very rarely play and buying a new Strat. I've saved up enough to buy a new Strat now but I have to find just the right one. I'm 6'4" and have very large hands and long fingers. Not fat, just long so I have to find the right neck because I don't want to buy any more after that, right? And I can always sell those two guitars later, right?

That’s always great when you can make that sale. Happy for ya, Paul.

I get ya when you mentioned that you could get the Strat now and move those other guitars later, Marky. I should have jumped on a ‘62 Daphne copy when I had the chance. I’m emotionally attached to the one I have though because it was gifted. Still, when the right one comes along, and if one can swing it, the right thing to do is to reel it in if it’s a keeper. The others can IMHO be released. It’s a wonderful thing if you can wait for that trophy though.

Gosh, I hate buyers’ and sellers’ remorse.

You know Paul, I think I'd put that Orange out there. It seems like there is a buying trend going on now in your area. Don't wait before it's to close to the tail end of it.

Far from me to suggest that, Paul. But, Glenn might have something there. I’ve noticed others younger than me are starting to unload gear and boomers (like me) are doing it in a big way. We here probably know of others who have gear
collecting dust waiting for the right time (whatever that is). All of this seems to also be trending, and it is likely to increase. Even classic cars which were less available are now showing up, although there are many reasons for that, but boomers do play a part. The changes occurring in the industry can be a bit of a crap shoot right now and, if Glenn is correct in his assumption, which he most likely is, you might want to take advantage of it. On the other hand there will always be a buyer; however, if you have to find them at what cost will it come? Who knows for sure? Not I.

Well, the problem with that is the stuff I did sell, with the exception of the Precision Bass, was consigned at some music shop in Massachusetts, that is a haul from where I live, and technically, I am still using the amp, and need it for upcoming gigs. I mean, I could try to sell it on Craig's List again, and Facebook, but I didn't have any luck the first couple of attempts, other than some BS. Then again, it probably doesn't hurt to try, and see. I just won't put it on consignment, because then I won't have access to it if I need it, which I will. I mean even though I managed to move those cabs, it doesn't mean the head will, plus I do have gigs coming up, with rehearsals.

That consignment can work sometimes and other times it can be troublesome to be sure. I’ve written here in the Forum that consignment at a store that claimed bankruptcy caused me to lose some of my drum kit with a lawyer getting me some lesser replacement before lockdown.

In my 20s I did put one of the early Class C motor homes on consignment. After 5 years use, I got what I asked for, made most of my money back , and found the used market price to have surprisingly escalated to more than the original price by a large amount the next year as popularity and limited availability kicked in. The story of my life. :P Things go down when I sell and up when I buy. :P Timing and knowledge is a good thing. Also, if the agent selling for you is trustworthy - no worries. That often, sad to say, is not the case. Seldom does one’s gear get sold for less than the asking price, but there is a possibility that negotiations can play a part where the buyer or agent takes advantage over the seller/owner.

Now I have a very expensive limited available reclining wide used wheelchair that I’m thinking of putting on Kijiji, but because of the build and width it is doubtful if we’ll get a fraction of the cost from an estate sale. We may donate it, but only if it isn’t for personal profit. I’ve never used Kijij so that will be an experience.

Looks like keeping your Orange until later is a good way to go for now. Maybe, the word will get out or somebody will be looking for one.

Till then break a leg, Paul.

Yeah, it's actually not a bad amp, and if I use my MXR Preamp, that will give me a bit more EQ options, which was what I needed when I used the hollow body bass. I might not even need that with the Ibanez bass. I just have yet to even use that with it, since I've been just doing recording and not any rehearsals or gigging. That's not until at least July, unless something pops up. Another thing, even if I do sell it, I'll have to make sure I can get something comparable, but also give me the additional options I want. At least there, I do have a few things in mind.

It can sure get complicated, can't it. You may want to hang on to the Orange, and use the MXR you have for the EQ settings.

I'll most likely be doing that for now, unless an opportunity comes my way. Speaking of the MXR pedal, I highly recommend that thing if you ever needed something for recording direct, which is what I originally got it for, and have used it to do so.

That's good to know. Thanks.

My last guitar purchase is a bundle purchase which included:
Tusq nut and saddle for a acoustic
Boneshaker Distortion Pedal for $50 (very excited about)
Schecter universal guitar case for $69. Ordered from Amazon warehouse notes used in like new condition in original packaging. I have a fitted case for one of my Schecter guitar and their case are top notch. (Again, very excited for this)

The custom handmade embroided strap I ordered has arrived. I loved the feel and the looks... Very comfortable, doesn't "bite" your shirt and won't slip either. Stays put and it's made of cotton, so it's probably comfortable all nite long. A gig favorite, that is.

Looks killer on my strats!
