That is one cool idea. I would love to play one and if the cost is reasonable, own one.

Interesting - New Boston, NH is about 32 miles away from me now.

You should check it out some day and show us some pics.
(if you don't mind and have some time one day)
I know I'd be interested in seeing more.

Very Cool, Very Interesting and considering the development time and materials, hand made construction and the fact it is made in the northeast U.S.....Very Expensive!!

I know there have been some "folding" guitars in the past, but this is the first really radically new idea (that isn't uglier than oatmeal) I've seen in a long time...

Very cool. 8)

No promises, but I'll see what I can do.

Great post, BMW. But, dang it, now I have GAS. I'd love to break one in.

Really cool. I am definitely impressed and intrigued to see and hear more. I also like the Wraith motive. This couldn't have been a coincidence, could it?

Cheers!

I'm not convinced.
- That it's a single active piezo pickup and new materials except for the fretboard is a matter of taste. Some might be okay with that.
- I'm also not sure whether it will be top heavy with so little body to it, but again, some might like that.
- Likely not very usable for finger pickers, with nowhere to brace the thumb, and a very tiny strike plate. Pick users might be fine with that.
- Like an acoustic, there's no intonation adjustment possible unless you cut a new bridge saddle ridge.
- Proprietary Li-Ion battery. Batteries don't last forever, and if this company goes out of business, you may have an expensive piece of art that can't be played anymore.
- "The Ridgewing's bridge is a self-contained unit equipped with a piezoelectric pickup and active preamp" reads to me like there may not be any user or 3rd party serviceable parts. Which is not good for longevity.

But it looks awesome, fershur.

Yeah, nobody should ever try a new approach, ever. Like that weird guy out in Fullerton who started making guitars that looked like boat paddles back in the late 40's...that was ridiculous.
Or that guitarist (I think his name was Rhubarb Red?) who was always tinkering with recording equipment? That was stupid, too.
Or that foreign kid out in California who was always jacking up his guitars? He should have just stuck to playing piano.
Those guys were dumb for ever trying something different.
