I've wanted a DRRI for a while, but didn't have 1100 bucks for a new one. Found this on Craigslist for almost half that. Seller had it for two years and put about an hours play on it. It sounds so sweet! I don't think it needs a speaker upgrade after all. :D Image

I'm jealous. Enjoy. I can't imagine someone owning that and not playing it. Weird people!

Best part, he lives 50 some miles from me and dropped it off on his way to a gig.

Congrats. 8)

I like the stock speaker in mine also. It is a sweet amp.

Yup, work out for me. I had a heart attack in June, so probably best that I'm not schlepping heavy stuff around like 42 pound amps. :)

Oh, I have been in that situation before. You buy something, thinking that you'll expand and learn and do something new, and then you find you either don't have the time or commitment, or it's just not for you. And a good while later, you realize that you feel guilty, and sell it cheap to someone who'll put it to better use.

I'd love a Deluxe Reverb reissue myself, but I don't play anything right now that would sound better on it. Some ballad style solos, perhaps, but then I'd take a higher powered amp. Otherwise, what I play either needs crunch or an absence of reverb and tremolo. Others play stuff where a DRRI would shine, and can work magic with it. But if I bought a DRRI, or a strat for that matter, I think it would likely sit there most of the time, and end up in someone elses home once I felt guilty enough.

Anyhow, I'm glad that this one found a good home!

Congrats on the "New" amp. It is the very next amp on my list! Enjoy it and play it like you stole it!

As Don Chevrier used to say,
"He shoots. He SCOOOOORES!"

Congrats.
