The original gate-fold album cover for Wishbone Ash's "Argus" had a pretty profound effect on me......

For an album with more conventional graphics, I'd say Deep Purple's "Made In Japan" is one of the best.

For psychedelia, it's gotta be Cream's "Disraeli Gears".

The Who - Who's Next.

2nd Favorite is a tie. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road.

Yessongs - the front, the back, and inside. Roger Dean was fantastic. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1366&bih=667&q=Yessongs&oq=Yessongs&gs_l=img.3..0l8.2228.3597.0.3803.8.5.0.3.3.0.51.233.5.5.0....0...1ac.1.64.img..0.8.238.sFy7f93tqCk#hl=en&tbm=isch&q=yessongs+album+art&imgrc=_

That's a tough question. I'll have to think about it since there's a lot for me.

Tough question. It's a toss up between Big Brother and the Holding Company's 'Cheap Thrills' and the Beatles 'sgt Peppers'.

The Pat Travers front/back covers were pretty good (really good albums, too):

Kiss - Destroyer ! The classic painting by Ken Kelly who did some work for Warren publishing on their magazines such as Eerie , Creepy , and Famous Monsters of Filmland , still holds up to this day. I believe he also did the cover to their Love Gun album as well .

I always liked the Allman Brothers' Eat A Peach cover, though, I liked the inside cover more than the outside. Trippy!

For me it will always be the first Led Zeppelin cover.

Going with that stark black and white image, when most other album covers had psychedelic rainbow colours, made quite an impact. I remember the first time and place I saw it and heard the music.
BTW - It wasn't a high-contrast version of the original Hindenburg photo, but a hand-inked rendering of the photo.

Then again, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Herb Alpert's "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" in my parents' Colombia Record Club collection. I was about 12 years old then.

"Fragile" by Yes and "Disraeli Gears" by Cream were always a couple of my favorites. I like psychedelic album art, I guess.
