I'm coming to the conclusion that the next container of yogurt or jar of peanut butter I open is going to reveal a photograph of Joe Bonamassa on the inside of the cover. :?

Any thoughts :?:

Give the guy a break. We all know how hard it is to make it playing blues rock today. The fact that he has garnered so much attention is a testament to his working his butt off and having talent. It's not like he dyes his hair pink and walks around with a dozen poodles in order to get attention. Joe's a very down to earth guy. He gets next to no air play, yet sells out all of his shows. I say more power to him. Where can I buy some Joe B Coolaid?

Love some Joe B, but he does need to be aware of over exposure. With the instant media of today, it is real easy to cross over to that yesterdays news thing real easy, especially with much of the younger folks of today that seem to tire easily no matter how good the music might be!

YMMV

JB is a great talent to be sure...

But I agree w/ Doc... a little moderation please...

Besides, there are many other equally, if not more talented players out there not getting one scintilla of the deserved exposure JB is getting.

Bottom Line:

a. He's a great Player (though not the only one out there...)

b. I'm seeing too much of him !!

cheers!

Break :?:  I've most everything he's ever recorded. The days of 'Cream', 'Zep' and'long play' FM are gone bro. Radio is no longer concentrated into a few stations in local markets. It's all over the planet. He is a niche market musician hammering it with every commercial item he and Roy can dream up. They're quartered about 30 min away from me in Delray Beach. Used to be closer but relocated to a real upscale community.

Not my cup of tea, but if he can make a decent living playing music these days, then more power to him.

I don't even understand why any one would complain about this. don't like it? don't listen.

hey to each his own.. IMHO he's making it as a total independent, not relying on any contracts or big money to back him, in other words he's making his own way through this, and is currently holding on to a net worth close to 5 million bucks.

I have just about every thing he's produced save a few of the compilations with other artists and live stuff, and I like it all it's not just blues.. listen to some Black Country Communion some time, much of this, is NOT the blues stuff you'll typically hear

While what he's doing may not be your cup of tea, it beats the living snot out of 95% of the rubbish the radio and media outlets are trying to shove down our throats. but wait, lets have some more kayne west and miley cirus... on second thought, no thanks.

I saw him when he came to Boston this past January, band was awesome and this was an out standing performance all around.

In today's super competitive market place you have to work hard for every penny. You have to be a shameless self promoter. Do I want to get e-mails from JB about pinterest? Nope, but he's doing what he has to to keep his brand out there. I just wish I had 1% of his talent.

He is a real deal blues guitar player in a brave new world of vomit-inducing autotune + playback pop divas. Males included.

Gotta respect.

isn't it odd that people still freak out over the beatles, but give em some great new talent like a guy like Joe B, and everyone has had enough after a few albums..

don't get it..

I listen to a college station that actually plays Joe. I'm aware of the toilet commercial radio is in these days. I sometimes think that if Zeppelin got back together and released a new song, it wouldn't get airplay. Not part of the formula.
