Thanks, arthl for your reply.

On a side note, my love/hate question is meant simply as a preface to my post as I do see interest in the Rics.

In my neck of the woods Rickenbacker is hard to find, but I know a few local musicians that recorded and traveled with them in the 60s. As we all do, I lost touch with some of these band members over the years. I ran into one of the guys last month, but Rics were not the topic at the time. Interesting about not displaying the price policy. It's a definite plus to hear the experiences from those who know this historical guitar. Thanks.

Well, as I stated a few pages back, the Ric GAS did bubble up again.
I just pulled the trigger on a 660 (6) in FireGlow.
When it arrives I will post better pics.
Has anyone else noticed how slow PhotoBucket has become in the last week or so?

Thanks, guys!
It's only been a couple of hours and I'm already impatient.
I won't even have a tracking number to obsess over until tomorrow.
I think maybe Tom was right.

The waiting is the hardest part.

I know this is instant replay but I'd like to see a resurrected 330 Capri finished out like that.

Actually, when I started this thread I was considering a guitar in the used market that colour and model number.
I changed my mind when I read people on this forum talking about a narrow neck.
I searched the Ric site and learned the 660 has a wider neck.
Once I started looking around at 660s for sale the cresting wave shape began to grow on me.

This has always interested me. Now why can't the company comply?

Back in the day, waaaay before the Titanic sank, I electrified my old Harmony acoustic with two of these. I pull the pots out of the box and mounted them on the guitar top accessing through the F holes. I tried, unsuccessfully, to wire them into a 3-way switch which I purchased at the old Gretsch factory in Williamsburg, Bklyn. So I opted for a rotary, a la early PRS, which worked just fine. Then I got my Dano about 2 years later.

The 20th.
Tuesday.
6 days to clear customs.

That will give all those indolent customs officers ample time to have their way with your new baby.
