Time does seem to fluctuate as tasks are either done, or put off in a days session.

For me a long drive seems like a loooooooooong drive. I can't say whether it's longer if I traveled that route before, or longer if I haven't. I think it varies.

I do know that to truly master a guitar takes a loooooooong time. 8)

Sometimes I feel like it takes longer to get somewhere, than it does to get back home from there. I don't know.

I hooked up my chorus pedal with my Precision Bass tonight for the first time. It sounds pretty good with it. Still haven't got around to recording with the violin bass yet. The good news is I'm done with what I needed to do for my girlfriend's new EP, so that's all set to go to mastering and be released. It's time for the publicist to earn their pay.

Congrats, Paul! Pretty exciting, huh? All the best, and good luck for your girlfriend on her release.

Thanks. 8) Eventually, we're going to be doing some shows, as well. I have a feeling that I'll probably be busy by the time next year rolls around.

Yeah, it's not. Even though I've done the track with the Precision Bass, I'm thinking about hooking up the violin bass to record, including those tracks. I'm still curious to see how it sounds. If anything, I think it will (if it sounds good recorded) work best on the psychedelic side project.

To bad your Jazz is having problems. Jazzes have a good 60's sound to them.

It's just a short in the jack, so at least it's a minor (hopefully) repair. I don't know how to fix it, though. It's not totally dead, at least.

Hey, Paul. Lots of videos for repairing output jacks. Unfortunately, they are not all Jazz Bass related; but, sometimes you can gather enough information from the odds and ends and, although the guitar jack may be different, the video might give you tips that you can use. You may have seen these, but if not, perhaps, these will help to get you started. I didn't add hum or noise issues as these and other jack videos are available should you require them.

Also, as these are jack related, the tail end to the electronics will likely be found elsewhere need be.

I tried in vain to get better videos for the Jazz but I didn't find one at the time. Here's what I did narrow down,

Cheers!

Hey, thanks for those videos. 8) Unfortunately, I'd also have to learn how to solder, as well. Technically, I did learn a little bit of that when I took an elective electronics class in high school, but that was in 1984, and I didn't have any inclination towards being a musician for another four years, so I never thought to utilize any of that information, at the time. I wish I did, since that would definitely be handy. I suppose I could learn how to do it, though. How hard can it be?

I finally got my regular PJ Precision in, so turned in the loaner.
